Episode 8
Pastor Ezekiel proceeded to the back yard with Ify’s body on his hands, he lowered her to the floor and started searching for the shovel he hid few hours back. Luckily for him, he found the shovel the same place he left it, which meant no one used that route. He started digging the floor to form a grave where he would bury Ify. Unknowingly for him, Jackson his son was hiding somewhere watching his every move. Jackson woke up in the middle of the night feeling very pressed, he wanted to ignore it and go back to sleep, but he felt like he would defecate in his trousers if he didn’t do the necessary. He quietly left his room to their local toilet at the back of the house. He was with a touch light but it kept malfunctioning, afterall several attempts to switch it on, he angrily switched it off, threw it on the floor and kept defecating.
After a while, he heard footsteps approaching the backyard, he became very scared and squatted silently in the local toilet to see who it was. He saw his father walk pass the toilet with what looked like someone on his hands. Out of curiosity, he followed him to know what he was up to, and boooom that was it, his father was about to bury someone at the backyard close to the missionary house. Jackson tiptoed out of the bush and ran as fast as his legs could carry him with no destination in mind. He couldn’t believe his eyes, why would his father bury someone in the middle of the night, that was such a barbaric act and he had to do something.
Jackson ran to a popular T junction where vigilantes were usually gathered, he saw three of them, and told them exactly what he saw. The three of them alerted the rest of the group and they all left to the bush where Pastor Ezekiel was burying Ify.
