CHAPTER ELEVEN.
I pretended like nothing has happened, but deep down within me I was dying of jealousy. I left her and they spoke for about 10minuites. She came out and gave me a sad look.
“I know how important this date is to you. My uncle just called me that I should come and accompany him to an occasion in town.” At that moment I was shock and surprised that she could look directly into my eyes and lie.
“Women!” I turned and mumbled to myself. She never heard though
“ It’s alright!” I said “Am sure it must be very important” I said as I tried so hard to hide my anger from her.
“ It is Welly. He always invites me to such occasions whenever his wife is not around”
“ Yeah it is ok, I just wanted us to go out. I really just wanted to appreciate you for helping me out.
“Aww, it’s not a big deal though. You know I will help you out anytime. We can always go out whenever you want. I promise you” she lifted her right hand on the air as if to swear. I sat there watching at her innocent looking face, imagining how such a sweet soul could be so involved in such a life style.
I told her Goodnight and left her alone to dress and go out with her so called Uncle AKA Mr. Nchinda the H.O.D of my Department. As soon as I went in Mike asked me what happened.
“Ayy! What happened?, I thought you said you were going out?”
“ Yeah right going out.” I said sounding really angry.
“ What happened?,”
“ My date ditched me for another Man, Can you believe that?” I said and provoked him into laughter.
“ It’s not funny guy. I thought it was my chance to ask this girl out but she just destroyed everything for us.”
“ Wait..! “ he laughed hysterically “ Don’t tell me your Date is Samira?” he stopped waiting for my answer.
“ Yes! Why.?”
“ Upon all the girls you’ve seen in this very town, you decided to go for a runs girl?. I pity that thing you call head”
“ How was I supposed to know that she is an ajaja?”
“Oh! William!! Must I be there to tell you everything?. Have you ever wondered how she pays her rent?. The fancy outfit she wore and the late nights she kept.”
“ I… I just… I guess I had known all this . I was just afraid asking her. I didn’t want to sound so clingy.”
“ Hahahaha ma brother you Dan mess up real bad. Why did you have to allow you self to fall for a girl like Samira. I warned you to becareful. She’s not as innocent as you think.”
“ The girl is not just an ajaja. She’s a big one. She uses Kayamata on the men she wanted to imprison”
“ What do you mean by that”? I asked looking at him in shock
“ She’s in one of the biggest girls cults in the University. She’s not who you think she is. Oh God!! I have been so concentrated on getting my revenge at that Bernard and his Bro that I actually forgot you were a new here. You messed up brow!! ” He said looking straight into my eyes
“Please keep your mouth closed. There are flies around. You should be thankful you haven’t asked her out yet. You would have been her pet in less than few days from now. Washing her clothes, her pants.” He stopped and laughed.
“ Please stop exaggerating. Besides why is it that each time I want to go close to anyone in this cite you always have a story to tell about them?” I got even more angrier and transferred the energy to him
“ Bro! Don’t say that. Don’t make it sound like I don’t want you to get close to anyone. I am just looking out for you.”
“ Oh looking out for me you say. Why don’t you look out for yourself. It’s you who sleeps around with your neighbor Seraphin, it’s the Same you was being kidnapped and beaten by unknown police officers.” I said in anger
“ Wooow!! , I now see where this is coming from. For your information Seraphin and I have nothing. It only happened once. And besides I have a girlfriend and you know her why…”
He tried and calmed me down explaining everything to me how Samira had once Charmed a guy of my age before. She made him her slave. The man always came home before her, prepare food, arranged the house and did everything for her. But she simply treated him like trash.
I was still very shock and unsure of what I was hearing. He said she had one of the most crazy attitudes in that city. She gets angry when anyone Crossed her path. I tried to talk him into understanding that the Samira he knew was not the Samira I knew but he said it was because I had never gotten her angry and had probably never seen her in such a mood because she didn’t want me to know.
I managed to control my anger and went outside. I met Keren who had seen how angry I was and decided to invite me in. Doubting all what my cousin had said, I asked her about Samira which she also said the same thing and even more. I told her I needed fresh air and she Proposed that we go out together and have a dri
