VALENTINE’S CITY.
CHAPTER ONE
I stood opposite the roadside scheming through the road looking left and right waiting for the right time to make a run across the road, when I suddenly got lost looking at a girl pass by me in something I often hear my female friends called spaghetti skirt. The spaghetti skirt gave her two swollen watermelons the liberty to Vibrate excitedly as she flipped her slippers and walked pass me. She was putting on lenses, a faux African afro hairstyles. On top of the skirt, she wore a handless blouse that flung her oranges pointing and inviting preys.
I watched her walk by me without saying a word and stood few kilomètres away from where I was standing and then waited for cars to slow down for her to cross the road. It then occurred to me that we were getting into the same Compound.
I Came back to my senses and focus on the road. The only building that was around that area was the one opposite the road. The other houses were few meters away from this building.
Since it was my first time in that area, I fixed my suitcase, making it lie on the wall, took out my phone from my back and called my cousin to come and take me. The girl had already gone inside now and I was alone standing In front of the gate. I took a few steps backward and stood observing the beautiful Big building and the number of floors it had when someone snatched my telephone from my hand. I turned only to discover That a bike rider had snatched my phone and disappeared into thin air. I shouted and screamed to my lungs,
“ Thief!!! Thief!!” but I was shocked by the actions and attitude of the passer-by, who had been watching me scream from afar.
“ And what exactly do you want to do now?. Fly and catch him on that bike as spider man or superman?.” He said as he shock his head in disappointment “ This generation of nowadays. They just will never learn.”
“ At least you get to learn and won’t stand beside the road where vehicles and bikes are passing and you hold your phone to show how beautiful it is to the world.”
The man went on his way and left me in a dilemma. I stood and saw people looking at me from the building in the upper floors in pity. I thought about my money in the phone which was about seventy thousand f and my other transactions on the phone.
My cousin finally came out and apologized for keeping me waiting . When I told him my phone had been snatched, he didn’t seemed make a fuzz out of it and just told me to not bother that he knew the people who took it. I told him I needed to go block the number so that I can retrieve my sim card and my money but he told me not to bother. He asked me to put my things in the house settle down, freshen up look for food and get a fresh juice from the fridge, drink and sleep. As he said this, he made his way through the parlor and told me he was coming.
I did as I was told, but I couldn’t sleep thinking about the money in the phone. I kept on thinking till I was overpowered and taken by sleep. I slept for like three hours and was awaken by a knock on the door. I drowsily walked to the door and asked
“ Who’s it?”
“ Keren.”
I opened the door to see a black beautiful girl standing at my brother’s door. My ears fell on her black tiny transparent strapped blouse which made her tiny oranges very visible, and a short jeans which only covered her watermelons leaving her legs bare.
“ Oh! So sorry… Mike… Mike.. isn’t around at the moment”
“ I know Dummy. Please can I come in?”
“ Oh Yeah! Sure.” She walked in and sat on the couch I had been sleeping on.
“ I am called Karen and I live next door, I am a Close friend of your Brother. Mike. He had informed me about your coming so I thought I should pass and welcome you.”
“ Thanks Very much. That’s so thoughtful of you. Oh snap!” I exclaimed using my right hand to cover my face in self disappointment.
“I am called Williams but my friends call me Welly, Mike’s Cousin.” Said shaking sending her a hand shake.
“OK! Mr. Willams your welcome to VALENTINE’S City.” She said sending out a warm smiling that got me blushing.
