“Let’s make plans before we make the move,” Joyce advised.
The three friends returned to their classes.
Udeme has been noticing her class teacher Miss Mercy, who was looking unhappy.
She moved closer to her.
“Aunty, what is the matter, is it something you can share with me”
She smiled “Udeme thanks for your concern, is not something you can understand” Then her phone rang, and she ignored the call.
“Aunty is he the one that is getting you worried” She said pointing at the caller showing on the phone screen.
The teacher smiled again, “Udeme he’s the one but I’m fine okay”
“You are not fine aunty, but you will be fine, God will provide someone better than him” she hugged her and return to her seat. The bond between Udeme and her class teacher began to increase.
“I see her as my mother,” Udeme told her friends
“I think Aunty is having issue with her Fiancee, her phone has been ringing but she’s not picking”
“And how are you sure is her Finance”
“She stores the number with My Love”
“Hmm”
“So I have a plan, I want to link her up with my Dad, I will be glad if she can be my stepmother”
“That’s a good one, but you can’t force it”
“Yeah” Udeme nodded
Jesse was in his office when his secretary walked in with a food flask in her hands.
“I brought you rice and dodo,” The Secretary said seductively
“Wow, thanks Caroline, as if you know I’m hungry I know this one will be delicious as usual”
She laughed “Thanks Boss”
“Please bring those files so we can go through them now”
“Okay Sir” she stood to leave
“Caroline, how about a date tonight.”
“Wow, thank you sir, I’m much available”
“Let’s meet at pent house by 7 pm”
“Alright sir” She blushed
Caroline got home and shared the news with her friends.
“Congratulations baby girl, but is just a date that’s not a guarantee that he will marry you” said Vicky
“He will if his daughter approves it, Once I’m able to enter him, I will be nice to the girl till she approves me, after my marriage, I will show her loads of pepper” Her friends laughed.
“That girl is a small witch, controlling her father as small as she is” she hissed.
“Clear her from the way, I can help you if you can’t you know I don’t take shit.”
“No Vicky, I won’t do that, don’t want to have blood on my hands”
Jesse drove to pick up her daughter from school.
“Dad how was work today”
“Fine, but a little stressful, Angel your Dad is going on a date tonight”
“Wow, with who?”
“My Secretary”
“Miss Caroline?”
“Yes, you don’t like her?”
“No, she’s good, but..”
“But what?”
“I will like to go with you”
“Hmm, I don’t think she will like the idea, but is fine”
At exactly 7 o’clock, Caroline was already at Pent House waiting for Jesse.
She was so annoyed when she sighted him coming with her daughter.
“What nonsense is this, look at the little rat wearing a flower gown is she the one on a date?”
“Hi Caroline, meet my daughter Udeme” Jesse introduced
