Title: Torn Between Love and Hate
Episode 8: A Husband’s Realization
Obinna was restless. He couldn’t understand what was happening to him. For years, he had been comfortable ignoring Amaka, holding on to his resentment, convinced she would always remain beneath his attention.
But now, she was different. Confident. Independent. Successful.
And worst of all—she didn’t need him anymore.
One evening, he arrived home earlier than usual and heard laughter coming from the sitting room. He frowned. That wasn’t his children’s laughter. It was Amaka’s.
He stepped inside and saw her sitting on the couch, her phone in hand, smiling.
“Who are you talking to?” he asked sharply.
Amaka looked up, unfazed. “Why do you care?”
His jaw tightened. “Amaka, I’m still your husband. I have a right to know who you are entertaining in my house.”
She let out a small laugh. “Your house?” she echoed. “Funny. I’ve lived here for ten years, suffered here for ten years, and suddenly, you remember I exist?”
Obinna’s patience snapped. He strode towards her, snatching the phone from her hand. His eyes widened when he saw the name on the screen—Emeka.
His blood boiled. “So it’s true,” he muttered. “You’re running around with another man.”
Amaka stood, her expression calm but firm. “Emeka is a friend. Something you stopped being a long time ago.”
Obinna clenched his fists. “You’re my wife, Amaka.”
She met his gaze without fear. “And for ten years, you treated me like I was invisible. But guess what, Obinna?” She stepped closer. “I see myself now. And I won’t let you control me anymore.”
Obinna was speechless. This was not the Amaka he was used to—the Amaka who used to beg for his affection.
That night, he lay awake, staring at the ceiling. Had he pushed her too far? Had he lost her for good?
For the first time, Obinna felt something unfamiliar—regret.

Title: Torn Between Love and Hate
Episode 9: A Man’s Fear
Obinna could no longer deny it—he was losing Amaka.
For years, he had convinced himself that she was beneath his attention, that she had ruined his life. But now, seeing her confident, successful, and unbothered by him made him feel something he had never expected—fear.
What if she left him?
The thought haunted him.
One evening, as he returned home, he saw Amaka stepping out of the house, dressed in a stunning outfit. She looked breathtaking.
“Where are you going?” he asked, his voice sharper than he intended.
She barely glanced at him. “I have a business dinner.”
“With who?”
She paused, then smiled knowingly. “Does it matter?”
Obinna’s fists clenched. “As your husband, I have a right to know.”
Amaka chuckled. “Husband?” She stepped closer, lowering her voice. “The same husband who ignored me for years? The same husband who only remembers he has a wife now that she’s doing well?”
His chest tightened. He had no words.
Amaka shook her head. “I spent years crying over you, Obinna. But I’ve dried my tears. Now, I’m focused on myself.”
She walked past him, her perfume lingering in the air, leaving Obinna standing there, overwhelmed by emotions he couldn’t name.
As she drove off, his heart pounded. Was it too late?
For the first time, he felt what she had felt for years—rejection.
