Episode 7
Everything in Miriam’s life seemed shattered and it was like Larry was the centre of all the problems she was passing through. It was no longer a normal matter
Miriam sat down to ponder on all the things that had happened in the past year…
Her husband dìẹ́d, she slept with his ghøṣt unknowingly to her, she got pregnant for a ghøṣt and gave birth to his incarnate, and now she was finding it hard to remarry because of a strange and unknown reason
After taking time to think, she then understood that the matter was a spiritual one, but she didn’t know how to go about it
Already, she was getting relieved of the pain from the ghøṣt experience, due to the therapy sessions she started attending. She became more fond of her children and was slowly forgetting the bad memories
The only barrier to her complete healing was Larry. Most times when she sees his face, she would remember everything afresh and sometimes burst into tears. But after that day, she decided to accept her fate and bond more with him
Larry was a unique child. Asides being an exact replica of his late dad, he also grew rapidly and earlier than usual. He started walking at 7 months and talking perfectly at 10 months, which was quite strange
His guardians at school were always amazed at his abilities as he was far ahead of his mates in terms of growth and development. They called Miriam one day to discuss the matter…
“Madam, we noticed something unusual in your son. It’s not bad news, but it’s strange” the proprietress said
“Okay, go on”
“If I’m correct, your son is now 11 months right?”
“Yes”
“Okay good. We are sure you noticed his rapid growth from walking to talking at an early stage”
Miriam nodded
“Well, strange thing now is that Larry wrote down some words with his finger, at just 11 months old. Although his writing was very shaky but we were able to make out the words he drew out with paint on his finger”
Miriam was shocked. Of course it wasn’t normal for a kid less than a year old to be able to spell out words
They showed her what he wrote…
“H – a – r – m” and “l – e – s – s” were shakily spelt out on the sheet of paper. The second sheet of paper had the words “i” and “a – m”
Miriam stared for more than a minute. Then she arranged the papers accordingly to read out “I am harmless”
She took no meaning into it at first, but when she realised the message in it, she burst into tears…
“Madam are you okay?” The proprietress asked in concern. Miriam got hold of herself and nodded. It had dawned on her that she hated Larry because of how she conceived him and that was one of the reasons she couldn’t take care of him as expected
The next week, she withdrew Larry from daycare and started bringing him up herself
She opened a shop where she started selling provisions and several other things and she carried Larry with her whenever she was going to the shop. With time, she became really satisfied with her life and she stopped her search for a new partner
Her main reason was because she felt they will still leave her after seeing Larry, just as the previous men left.
One of the men that patronised her regularly started having interest in her. His name was Tony. He was very fond of Larry and whenever he came around, he usually spent much time playing with Larry.
He made his intentions known to Miriam after asking some questions about her love life. She liked him a lot and wanted to say yes, but she remembered something
And she said no

Episode 8
The reason Miriam turned down Tony’s request was because of fear. She didn’t want to waste her time in relationships that would still end up badly
Tony himself did not give up. He continued patronising Miriam, even more frequently this time around. The more he visited her shop, the more he spent time talking with her and playing with Larry
Surprisingly, Miriam looked forward to seeing him everyday. One particular day, he didn’t show up until evening and Miriam was worried about him. She even prayed that nothing bad should happen to him
She had fallen in love without even knowing
Eventually she agreed when he asked her out the second time. They didn’t really need any formal dates because they already knew each other for a long time. But still, Tony took her and the kids for outings severally, and the bond between all of them grew stronger
Months into their relationship, they started planning for marriage. Tony was ready to settle down with her and he assured that he was going to take the kids as his own. In fact he was already doing that
Miriam kept all their activities to herself, she and Tony made all their plans without the knowledge of any third-party or relative.
But somehow, Miriam’s in-laws managed to find out
Sandra visited Miriam at home one time, and Tony happened to be around that day. Sandra asked so many unavoidable questions as soon as she got Miriam away from the sitting room…
“Who is that guy?”
“He’s a…his name is Tony” Miriam stuttered, not knowing where the conversation was headed
“Oh, he looks really good. By the way, why is he here?” Sandra asked again
“We are discussing some important business”
“What type of business?”
“You’re asking too many questions Sandra” Miriam said, in a bid to end Sandra’s curiosity
Sandra folded in and then changed the topic…
“How about the kids?”
“They’re fine, all of them are inside”
Sandra went inside to meet them. Miriam resumed at the parlour with Tony and because of Sandra’s presence he had to leave early
As soon as he left, Sandra rushed at Miriam…
“So you’re getting married?”
“Who told you that?” Miriam asked
“I asked the kids and they told me that the Tony guy is their new daddy, and that can only mean one thing”
Miriam was angry that her children had exposed her plans, but it was understandable because they are just little kids
Sandra alerted the in-laws about the new development and they all conspired to work against the marriage. Miriam’s mother-in-law was the spearhead of the conspiracy
“You cannot remarry anyone else, we won’t let it happen. It is disrespectful to your látẹ́ husband” she declared
