Miriam went to the kitchen, contemplating on the best way to end the baby’s life without raising any suspicions
It was hard for her to kìll a baby she delivered herself, but the trauma was too much. Her other children didn’t even know she was going through so much. After much weeping, Miriam finally decided on starving the baby till he eventually dìẹ́s…
“Thank God my in-laws haven’t seen him yet, I’ll just tell them that the baby dìẹ́d during delivery” she wiped her tears and walked out of the kitchen
Just then, there was a gentle knock on the door. It was Sandra…
Miriam let her in, and they both sat down in the living room. Sandra was now a friend to Miriam even though she doesn’t behave like one sometimes, but she was the only person that visited Miriam once in awhile
“You don’t look good, what’s wrong?” Sandra asked
Miriam took a deep breath, not knowing how to explain the situation
“Don’t tell me Edward’s dẹ́áth is still hurting you” Sandra said
“No, that’s not the case, all is well” Miriam faked a smile and Sandra pressed no further…
“Okay then. I came here because I believe you must have given birth by now, how’s the baby?”
“The baby is fine, let me get him from inside” Miriam went inside to get the baby. She stood looking at him for sometime and eventually carried him after cleaning the tears in her eyes
The shock on Sandra’s face when she saw the baby said it all. She too was surprised at the striking resemblance between the baby and his látẹ́ father
She then knew that Miriam said the truth that day at the hospital. Sandra who didn’t believe in reincarnation found it hard to touch the baby. And Miriam took the opportunity to open up…
“I see the way you’re shocked, but it’s nothing compared to what I’m going through. This face has been giving me sleepless nights and recurring sorrow. I don’t know what to do any longer, I can’t keep this baby here anymore” she explained the entire situation and Sandra told her what to do.
After a week, Miriam took the baby to her late husband’s family. She wanted them to take the child and bring him up as she couldn’t bear his presence
Edward’s mother bluntly refused…
“He is your son, you have to take him” she said
Miriam pleaded with them in tears, until the in-laws gathered and made a decision…
“We will take him, but on one condition. All of Edward’s properties will be handed over and signed in his name, including the house you live in”

Episode 6
Miriam was left with two choices: take the baby and continue in trauma, or give them the baby and lose all her husband’s properties
She sat for a long time, thinking through tears. The wickedness of her in-laws had dawned on her, so she stood up, took the baby and left
The next week, she enrolled him in daycare where he would be taken care of throughout the day from Monday to Friday. Then she started attending therapy sessions
Her search for a new partner became more intense. Miriam was a really beautiful lady, and it wasn’t long before men started seeking her attention
There were many requests from several men but Miriam chose a particular person. His name was Jude
They met online and somehow liked each other. After several weeks of chatting online, they decided to go on a physical date
Their first date went well, the second date was at Miriam’s house because she wanted Jude to meet her children and see how they would relate
Jude connected with the children like he was their real father. They had a wonderful time and Miriam was happy about it. When he was about going, Jude remembered something…
“Uhm, I thought you said you had three kids?” He asked
“Oh, yes I have three kids. The third one is in daycare. His name is Larry”
“Okay, I’d like to meet him too, maybe some other time cos I have to be on my way now” Jude said and stood up to leave. David and Precious embraced him before he left and he dropped some money with them
Miriam was really happy because it looked like their relationship was going to workout. Jude was flowing really well with her kids and they liked him too. She looked forward to getting married to him in time to come.
One time, Jude visited them on a Saturday. His aim was to discuss marriage with Miriam. He was ready to take the relationship higher
They sat down in the parlour but before Jude could raise the topic, Miriam decided to bring Larry, her third child from inside so Jude could meet him
She did so and Jude carried the child for a while as they talked. That was the day things started going downhill
Jude started avoiding Miriam, he stopped picking her calls or replying her messages. He just distanced himself from her entirely and they eventually broke off
The surprising thing is that things continued going that way…
Every guy that she dated from then on always had marriage in mind, but once they laid their eyes on Larry, they would start backing off
It kept happening until Miriam realised the pattern. And another wave of depression set in
