Episode 13
Tony asked to know why they were crying, Miriam was confused too. No one had the words to answer them so they decided to enter the house and find out what happened
They were shocked to find out that Frank’s only child, Emily was dẹ́äd. She was found in the apartment while waiting for her dad to comeback. No one knew what had kíllẹ́d her..
“What of Frank? Where is he?” Miriam asked the other woman in the house
“I have not seen him since yesterday. Only his daughter was at home”
“Ah! The mother nko?”
“She doesn’t stay with them. They were always having problems with each other while here, so she got fed up and left” the woman explained
Miriam and Tony were disappointed. They decided to wait until Frank returned so that they could leave their condolences with him, but they stayed till it was almost evening and Frank still didn’t show up
After several unsuccessful phone calls, they decided to leave.
They got home that night and kept a fruit by the door just as Frank told them before.
The next day, they checked at Frank’s house again but still, he had not returned and all his phone lines were unavailable. They decided to take the matter to the police and investigation was started immediately
While the matter was being studied, Tony got a call up from a big company. It came through an e-mail…
“We’re considering offering you a contract to handle our next line of production processes. If you’re interested, please be available for a short interview with our board members”
Tony could not believe it so he called the phone number attached to the e-mail and he confirmed it. The offer was authentic
Just like a snap, Tony was employed the same week and handled lots of work
At a point, his Miriam got involved too. She handled most of his documentation from home. They were both good workmates.
Things became really hectic as they hardly had anytime for themselves. But they never forgot to pray with their kids every day and night.
One time, they went to sleep without putting a fruit as usual, and when they woke up the next morning, they realised something

Episode 14
Miriam and Tony forgot to drop a fruit at the door, just as Frank had told them to do every night in order to stop the attacks. But they slept that night without any nightmares. The kids were fine too, they had no problems throughout the night. It was when they woke up the next morning that they realised everything
The prayer they made before going to bed had sustained them, but Miriam still had doubts in her mind
Already, Miriam had implemented the pattern of praying with her family every morning and night. So the next day, she decided to confirm if the attacks had fully stopped, she didn’t put any fruit at their door. They went to bed after praying and they didn’t experience any attacks or bad dreams
Things continued this way for days and eventually weeks before Miriam was fully convinced that they were free. Her mood automatically brightened up as she shared her observations with Tony. He was happy too.
The next week, Sandra’s mother came to speak with Tony. This time no one knew the reason for her visit until she spoke up…
“I’m sorry for everything I have done to you guys, I need your forgiveness please” she said
Tony and Miriam were dumbfounded. The last person they expected to beg them for forgiveness was this woman. Miriam managed to say something…
“Ma, it’s really hard but we hold nothing against you. We have forgiven you already”
Tony nodded in agreement, although he felt angry because the woman had tormented him and Miriam a lot. Even the children
She offered them a bag of fruits and vegetables to show that she was really sorry but they didn’t trust her enough to collect it, so she had to take it back with her.
Tony remembered the case concerning Frank’s missing status and asked her if she was aware of it. She said she was aware…
“That’s the main reason I came here. I felt you guys will have some information about him” she said
“No o, we are just clueless about the whole matter. It’s been weeks now. But we’ve reported it to the police” Miriam replied
“Okay then. Let me be on my way now” she stood and left.
Tony received a call from his workplace almost immediately…they told him that he was required to start preparing for a company contract abroad.
“You will be travelling with us in five months time” he was told
Tony became excited and started preparing immediately after telling Miriam about it. Two months into the preparations, it was discovered that Miriam was pregnant
Tony had to ask his management how long the event will take place…
“It will last for six months or more” they replied
“Hmm” Tony’s expression became dull
“Is there a problem?”
“Yes, my wife is pregnant and if I go for this contract, I won’t be around for her. It’s not really good” he explained
The manager thought for a while and asked him to make a choice
“Well then, choose one. Your job or your wife”
