Title: THE FORTUNATE DAUGHTER
Episode 5.
I was confused and asked him what assignment he was talking about, he raised a hand in a gesture for me to be quiet, and then he began to speak.
He told me how my uncles hated the fact that he married my mother and how they buried a deadly charm under his favorite tree that is beside the house where he used to sit close to the gate.
He also revealed to me the plans they had to terminate my mother and to make me an orphan to make it easy for them to claim his properties, this got me confused because I knew my father’s only property was the house he built which my mother and I live in.

He shook his head and told me about the land he sold to a foreign company and how much they had agreed to pay him for the land.
He took his brothers there as witnesses, to sign the documents and also discuss the method of payment. On getting home, he couldn’t find my mother so he decided to wait for her outside the house, under the tree where he usually sits. But the moment he sat down he felt cold all over his body and before he knew what was happening he was already on the ground motionless but alive.
Out of curiosity, I asked him how I was going to fulfill the task and also bring out the charm from where it was buried, he told me to look for an old woman’s Urine and that of a virgin, and that I should sprinkle it round the tree seven times and hit the tree three times that the charm will come out on its own.
Finally, he asked me not to worry about my uncles, because they would come running immediately I did as I was asked. Then he called my name and asked me to leave for home to do as I was asked, but before I could speak I jerked up from my bed sweating even when the fan in the room was on the highest speed.
I sat on my bed for some minutes trying to understand the dream I just had if it was my head playing a prank on me or if it was a trance when I heard my father’s voice urging me to start going home. I turned around but couldn’t find anyone then I stood up and started packing a few things I would need.
I took the last money I had left on me for transportation and was about to leave the room when I saw my roommates coming back from lectures, they asked where I was going with a bag pack and I told them I was going home and would be back in a few days. They saw me off to the school gate and said their goodbyes, while I continued my trip to the park.
On getting there I boarded a vehicle to my destination and was the last passenger so we began the journey on time.
While in the vehicle I thought about everything that had happened to me, and all my father had revealed to me.
I was also worried about my mother and how she was going to react to this revelation, there was another problem which was how to get an old woman’s Urine but as for the virgin urine, I could provide it.
