EPISODE 5

“Richard Wills?” Kenny cleared her throat. “He was my only consolation in the room, he was released before me, we met again in secondary school.”

“That means Taiwo has met him”

“No, Taiwo did not attend the same school as me, as she stopped talking to me, I stopped telling her about myself, so she never met him” She inhaled. “Seeing Richard again was a dream come true. We started having feelings for each other. But he is always watched, reasons why he is hidden”

“Always watched by who?”
“By some persons who are after his life”
“What did you know about Taiwo’s late boyfriend”

“I don’t know anything about him, the day I know she has a boyfriend was the day the guy died. I was surprised when she called his name Richard.”

“Okay at this point please let me have a word with your parent. Hope you don’t mind”

“No problem” they drove home to meet her parent.

“Good day sir and Ma, I’m Dr. Lynda, a psychologist and also the personal therapist to your daughter, Miss Omokehinde, I have a few questions to ask ma”

“Go ahead my daughter” Kenny’s Mum replied.

“Thanks, ma, can you tell me a little about your children, your happiness, and worries about them.”

“My dear, you see those two, they are my Joy, they are the best thing that has ever happened to me in this world, I had them after 25years of waiting on God, and I lost them when they clock 7. Did she relate her kidnapped experience with you”

“Yes ma” Lynda nodded

“My children changed since that encounter, We had an accident 2weeks after their release, the incident took my husband’s sight and I ended up with a stroke. Taiwo never check-up on us.”

“Madam don’t you think you are revealing too much to a stranger” Kenny’s Dad interrupted his wife.

Lynda forced a smile. “Thanks, sir and ma, I think have heard enough.” She left and headed back to her Fiancee, who has been waiting patiently for her. She narrated it all to him.

“Did she accept you get a detective”
“Yes.”
“Then introduce me to her as a detective, I’m interested in her case’
Lynda laughed “I won’t do that. I know you are a publisher, when did you join detectives, what If she asks for your license.”
“Then I will forge one, baby I’m not joking”
“John stop this, I don’t want to lose you”
“Forget nothing will happen.”
“So tell me, what’s the first thing you will you do in this case as a detective,” Lynda asked keenly.
“I’ll move closer to Taiwo. We need to hear her own side of the story”

The following morning, Lynda headed to Kenny’s office, with her fiancee.

“And who is he?” Kenny asked
“A Detective ma..”
“But you two look good together.” Kenny teased
“I’ve explained things to him. So he knows where to start from.”
“And you have told him my secrets are not for the streets”
“I need not be told ma” John cut in
“Mr detectives, what are your plans?”
“Getting close to your Sis is the first target ma. We will not meet again, but we’ll constantly communicate on phone, is not good to be seen with the both of you at the same time.”

“Ok, that sounds good”

John went to Tiawo’s chamber. He met her sleeping. He hit her table.
“How dare you wake me up from sleep” Taiwo yelled at him.
“Oh sorry for my manners how can I help you,” she asked nicely.

“To be honest I’ve not seen a lady as beautiful as you are. You glitter, you remind me of my late mother.” John said seductively

“Mr man goes straight to the point, flattering is not allowed here. Don’t forget I’m a lawyer.”

“And I’m a man, when I see a good thing, is my job to compliment It.” His phone rang.

“Hello, you’ve gotten a lawyer. That’s bad I’m in a chamber trying to hire one. No problem” he ended the call

“Sorry beauty, they have contacted another Lawyer, If you don’t mind can I have your contact for future purposes.”

Taiwo pointed at her number written on a calendar, He copied it quickly, “I just stored it with rare beauty.”
Taiwo frowned, pointing at the door. John walked out as she requested.

“Why is she forming hard to get” He mumbled.
