THE BRIDE’S TEST
Episode 3
Bryan was devastated, feeling like he had been blind to Sophia’s true intentions. He couldn’t believe she had stolen from them and disappeared without a trace. Mr. David was equally shocked, wondering how he had misjudged Sophia’s character.
As they tried to make sense of the situation, Bryan’s father revealed that he had been too lenient in his tests, and Sophia’s actions were a consequence of his mistake. He apologized for not being more vigilant and promised to be more thorough in the future.
Determined to move on, Bryan decided to focus on his work and forget about Sophia or anything related to marriage and women.
One afternoon, while Bryan was busy in the office, his father, Mr. David, called him to represent him at a birthday function. Bryan agreed and left the office, heading to the venue. However, along the way, his car became faulty on a village path. The car broke down close to a local shop.
A small village shop selling local goods and drinks. Bryan got out of the car, frustrated and worried about being late for the birthday function. As he tried to assess the situation, an elderly woman emerged from the shop, noticing his distress. She introduced herself as Mama Ella, the shop owner, and offered to help Bryan find a solution.
Mama Ella quickly called her daughter, Ella, who is equally kind and helpful. Together, they assisted Bryan in finding a local mechanic to fix his car. Ella, being familiar with the area, quickly located a reliable mechanic, and they waited together for him to arrive.
While waiting, Mama Ella invited Bryan into her shop for a refreshing drink. As they chatted, Bryan learned that Mama Ella was not only a kind shop owner but also a wise and knowledgeable woman with a deep understanding of the local culture and traditions. Ella, her daughter, was equally charming and friendly, making Bryan feel at ease despite his car troubles.
As the mechanic worked on the car, Mama Ella and Ella shared stories and insights that fascinated Bryan. He found himself enjoying their company and feeling a sense of connection. When the car was finally fixed, Bryan thanked Mama Ella and Ella for their help and offered to pay for their assistance, but they refused, saying, “Just make sure to pass on the kindness to someone else in need.”
Bryan arrived at the birthday function, a bit late but with a renewed sense of gratitude and appreciation for the unexpected encounter with Mama Ella and Ella.
As he represented his father at the function, Bryan couldn’t help but think of Mama Ella and Ella and the impact they had on his day. He made a mental note to visit their shop again.
so on, Bryan spent more time with Ella and her mother, their friendship blossomed. They shared stories, laughed together, and explored the village.
Ella’s kindness, intelligence, and beauty captivated Bryan, and he found himself developing romantic feelings for her.
One day, while they were walking through the village, Ella turned to Bryan and asked, “What’s on your mind? You’ve been looking at me differently lately.” Bryan’s heart raced as he tried to find the right words. He didn’t want to ruin their friendship, but he couldn’t deny his feelings any longer.
“Ella, I have to be honest with you,” Bryan said. “I’ve developed feelings for you beyond friendship. I know this may come as a surprise, but I couldn’t keep it inside anymore.”
Ella looked at Bryan with a mix of surprise and curiosity. “I didn’t expect this, Bryan,” she said, she paused, collecting her thoughts. “I need time to think about this, Bryan. I value our friendship, and I don’t want to rush into anything that could potentially harm our relationship.”
Bryan understood Ella’s concerns and gave her the space she needed. For months, they continued their friendship, but with a newfound awareness of the feelings that lay beneath the surface. Ella eventually came to realize that her feelings for Bryan went beyond friendship, she then accepted to be his girlfriend.
As their relationship blossomed, Bryan knew it is time to introduce Ella to his father, Mr. David. He was nervous about how his father would react, but he knew it was essential to take this step. When they arrived at Mr. David’s house, Ella was warmly received, and they all sat down to get to know each other better.
Mr. David was impressed with Ella’s, but he also had a hint of skepticism. “Bryan, I like Ella, but I need to remind you that I don’t trust people easily,” he said. “I want to test her, just like I did with Sophia and the rest, to ensure she’s genuine and worthy of your love.”
Bryan understood his father’s concerns, but he also knew that Ella was different. He agreed to his father’s tests, hoping that Ella would pass with flying colors and prove herself to be the kind of partner he deserved.
Ella tried calling Bryan for two days, but his phone was off. Worried, she called his father, Mr. David, who revealed that Bryan had been in an accident and was hospitalized, wheelchair-bound. Ella asked for the hospital’s address, and Mr. David provided it, enabling her to rush to Bryan’s side.
Without hesitation, Ella rushed to the hospital to be by Bryan’s side. When she arrived, she was met with the sight of Bryan sitting in a wheelchair, his legs paralyzed. She fought back tears as she approached him, trying to stay strong for his sake.
“Bryan, I’m so sorry this happened to you,” Ella said, her voice trembling. “I’m here for you, and I’ll do everything I can to support you through this.”
Bryan looked up at her with a mix of sadness and gratitude in his eyes. “Ella, I don’t know what I would do without you,” he said, his voice weak but determined. “I know this isn’t easy, but I want you to know that I still want to spend my life with you. Will you stay with me, despite this?”
“Bryan, my love for you goes beyond physical limitations,” Ella said, taking his hand in hers. “I’m here for you, and I’ll support you every step of the way. We’ll face this together, and we’ll find a way to make our love work, no matter what.”
