Episode 3

*********Morning After********
George slowly opened his eyes, greeted by the warm sunlight streaming through the windows. He felt a gentle weight on his chest and looked down to find a girl asleep, her hair tangled across his skin.
and he screamed in shock, “WHAT THE…?!”
Kate woke up with a start, disoriented.
George’s face contorted in confusion. “Who are you? Why are you nâkéd in my bed?”
Kate quickly stood up from the duvet and rushed into the restroom to freshen up and wear her dress.
She emerged, composed, but George’s questions continued.
“Who are you? Why am I nâkéd? What happened last night? How did you end up in my bed? Did my granny send you here?”
The questions spilled out rapidly, leaving Kate no chance to respond.
Just then, George’s phone rang. “We’ve found the details of the girl who saved your life,” the voice on the other end said. “She used her card to pay your hospital bills. We’ve traced her… She’s Ava Ethan, daughter of the Ethan family.”
George’s eyes narrowed. “Find her address quick.”
He hung up and turned to Kate. “I asked again, who are you? Are you the girl from the blind date?”
Kate shook her head. “No, I’m not. I came here to deliver food last night. Someone directed me to this room. When I arrived, you were stumbling, and I helped you… But you immediately started kissing me, and… you know the rest.”
George’s expression darkened. He walked closer, his voice laced with accusation.
“Ah, so you took advantage of me while I was drunk to sleep with me? You must be very chæp. I wasn’t sane, but you could have stopped this from happening. Instead, you chose to get into a wealthy man’s bed.”
His tone turned venomous. “How much do you want? I’ll pay you for what happened.”
Kate’s face flushed with indignation. “Don’t worry, I don’t want your money.”
She tried to walk out, but George blocked her path.
“Tell me, what’s your game? What do you want from me?”
“Game? What game?” Kate’s voice echoed through the room. “I can sue you for førc,!ng yourself on me!”
Kate’s eyes blazed with anger. “You’re accusing me of taking advantage of you? You’re the one who kissed me, who tied my hands, and…”
George’s face reddened. “I don’t remember anything. But one thing’s certain: you’re not supposed to be here.”
Kate’s voice rose. “I told you, I came to deliver food. Your worker directed me to this room. I didn’t know it was your room.”
George scoffed. “Convenient story. What’s your name?”
“Kate,” she replied, her jaw set.
George’s eyes narrowed. “I’ll investigate this. If you’re lying…”
Kate stood tall, despite her trembling. “I’m not lying. And even if I were, you’re not exactly in a position to judge.”
George’s expression darkened, but before he could respond, his phone rang again.
“George, we have the address of Ava Ethan,” his assistant said.
George’s gaze lingered on Kate before responding, “I’m on my way.”
As he prepared to leave, Kate tried to exit, but George stopped her.
“Stay here. We’re not done discussing this.”
Kate’s eyes flashed. “I’m not your prisoner.”
George’s grip tightened. “You’re not going anywhere until I get answers.”
“I’m leaving,” Kate said, her voice firm. “I thought you were a good person, but it’s fine.”
She thought to herself, “I wouldn’t have saved him that day in the car.”
Kate left George’s room and went out.
George decided to freshen up, dressed, and called a worker to change his bedsheet. As the worker pulled out the bedsheet, George noticed blood stains.
“Interesting,” George said to himself. “She’s even a virgin.”
He rushed to Granny’s room and asked for the delivery company details. Granny teased him.
“Are you looking for the girl? Ah, hmm, aww…”
George laughed and said, “Granny, just give me.”
Granny handed over the details, and George left.
Meanwhile, Kate arrived home and faced her uncle’s and aunties’ scolding.
“Where are you coming from? Where did you sleep?”
Kate replied, “I slept at work.”
Her aunt scolded her. “Work more so you can pay the money. The days are ticking.”
Kate rushed inside, got ready, and went to work.
At work, Kate confided in her best friend James about owing her parents 4 million and struggling to pay back.
James comforted the crying Kate, hugging her close. “Everything will be fine.”
Just then, George and his guards entered. George saw James holding Kate closely.
As Kate noticed customers arriving, she broke free from James.
“Hi, welcome,” Kate said, approaching George. “What’s your order?”
George replied, “I’m not here to eat. I can see how chæp you are, from my bed to another man’s arms.”
He pulled out a check. “Name your price, so what happened between us will be forgotten.”
Kate replied, “I need 4 million.”
George’s eyes widened. “I know you’re chæp, but never knew you’re so greedy.”
He wrote 4 million on the check and left with his guards.
They drove to the Ethan’s family house. George entered the compound majestically with his guards, bearing gifts.
Mr. Ethan, seeing the grand entry, rushed to the sitting room with his wife and daughter Ava.
Ethan opened the door for George to enter.
George introduced himself as Alexander, CEO of Alexander’s Group.
“Wow, Alexander Group CEO is in my house. I’m honored,” Ethan said, beaming with pride.
George smiled warmly. “I’m here to thank your daughter Ava for saving my life. The hospital gave me her name as she used her card to pay for my bills.”
Ava’s eyes widened, recalling Kate’s similar story. She composed herself and stepped forward.
“I’m Ava,” she said, her voice confident. “Yes, I saved you from the car accident and took you to the hospital. I even paid 4 million from my card.”
George’s eyes filled with gratitude as he held her hand. “Thank you so much. If not for you, I wouldn’t be alive. Please name anything you want; I’ll do it for you. I’m forever grateful.”
Ava’s gaze met her mother’s, who gave her a subtle nod.
Ava’s voice was steady. “I would want you to marry me.”
George’s eyes widened in shock. “Marry you?”
Ava’s smile was radiant. “Yes, I’ve always dreamed of marrying a man like you – successful, kind, and generous.”
George’s mind reeled. He hadn’t expected this.
Ethan intervened, “Ava, dear, are you sure?”
Ava’s determination was evident. “Yes, Father. I’m positive.”
George’s thoughts drifted to Kate, the delivery girl. He remembered seeing her in another man’s arms. His gaze returned to Ava, the supposed savior.
“Let’s start by getting to know each other first,” George said with a charming smile. “We can be friends. Give me your number; I’ll call you later for a date.”
Ava’s face lit up with excitement as she handed over her number.
George took out his checkbook, wrote a check for 50 million, and handed it to Ethan.
“Thank you for raising a good human being with humanity in her,” George said, his voice sincere.
Ethan’s eyes widened in shock as he saw the figure boldly written.
“Th-thank you, George,” Ethan stuttered, still in awe.
George bid farewell and exited the Ethan’s family house, leaving behind a stunned family.
