My siblings and I
Episode 7(the end)
Written by Rukevwe merry
Cynthia and Ken, desperate to make amends, traced Patrick to his new house. They arrived, hoping to beg for forgiveness.
“Please, Patrick, forgive us,” Cynthia pleaded, tears streaming down her face.
Ken knelt beside her, his eyes red-rimmed. “We were blind, Patrick. We didn’t realize our actions would hurt you so deeply.”
However, Patrick’s expression remained unyielding. “You should have thought of that before you treated me like dirt.”
Patrick’s expression turned cold as he watched Cynthia and Ken plead. “That’s enough,” he said, his voice firm.
He nodded to his security guards. “Please escort them off the premises.”
The guards stepped forward, gently but firmly guiding Cynthia and Ken toward the gate.
“Please, Patrick, just hear us out!” Cynthia begged, struggling against the guards.
Ken’s face contorted in desperation. “Brother, don’t do this! We’re sorry!”
Patrick’s voice remained unyielding. “You had your chance. Now, leave.”
As the guards pushed them out, Cynthia and Ken stumbled, tears streaming down their faces.
The gate closed behind them, and Patrick turned back to Perry, his eyes softening.
“It’s over,” he said, wrapping his arms around her. “We deserve a fresh start.”
Perry smiled, her eyes shining with love. “We do.”
Meanwhile, outside the compound, Cynthia and Ken stood in stunned silence, the reality of their actions finally sinking in.
Days passed, and Patrick’s wedding to Perry approached. Cynthia and Ken received an invitation, but only as a formality.
At the wedding, Cynthia and Ken’s remorse was palpable. They realized too late the damage they’d done.
Patrick and Perry exchanged vows, surrounded by friends and family. Emma, Bright, and Lucy beamed with joy.
As Patrick and Perry danced, Cynthia and Ken slipped out, tears streaming down their faces.
“We were so blind,” Cynthia whispered.
Ken’s voice cracked. “We lost him, Cynthia. We lost our brother.”
After the wedding, Patrick and Perry traveled abroad, leaving Cynthia and Ken to face the consequences of their actions.
Cynthia’s business crumbled, and Ken’s abusive behavior drove Lucy away. Bright married another woman, leaving Cynthia heartbroken.
Patrick’s parents and Emma flourished in their new houses, built by Patrick. Cynthia and Ken’s downfall served as a stark contrast.
Lessons Learned:
1. Treat people with kindness and empathy, regardless of their circumstances.
2. Never underestimate someone’s potential; today’s struggles can become tomorrow’s successes.
3. Forgiveness is a process, but it may not always be possible.
4. Abusive behavior destroys relationships; treat others with respect.
5. True wealth is built on love, compassion, and strong relationships.
As Cynthia and Ken struggled to rebuild their lives, they realized that Patrick’s success was not just about money but about the love and support he received from those who truly mattered.
The End.
