MY INFERIOR HUSBAND
EPISODE 28.
I was met with the greatest shock of my life as Dave gave me a deafening slap numerously ,I was not even allow to explain myself .
I was given a proper beating after the slap as he told me women are meant to be beaten and not cared for. I could not believe Dave could actually beat me talk less on the second day of our honeymoon.
I was left with numerous wound after that incident but I could not tell anyone what happened whenever my wound were sighted.
We continued our life as Dave would pretend all was well with us and I dare not complain and who will I complain to without been beaten.
I continued to avoid trouble as I avoided Dave but this did not stop the maltreatment but rather reduced it as Dave would always tell me the only solution to the incessant and regular maltreatment until I stopped working .
I decided to tell my mom what I was facing in a marriage that was not up to a year ,my mother advised me to stop working if that was going to redeem my marriage, I was suprised my mother could ever tell me such after all my efforts and struggle to get to where I am.
I decided to think about it and later decided I was going to stop working if that was going to end my numerous beating.
My boss was sad when I offered my resignation letter to him ,he told me I was his best work and could not let go of me as I was a potential he needs.
I decided to voice out my pain to my boss and he promised to give me a sabbatical leave till I could settle my problem. I was happy my boss understand my plight.
I did not know my husband saw me when I entered my boss car that day. I got home to find Dave really fuming with anger and he was calling me different names that I was dating my boss no wonder I got such promotion. I was beaten to coma that day and had to be rushed to the hospital.
I knew I was desperate but do you think I deserved such maltreatment just because I wanted to find my voice in the society?
