MY FIRST LOVE
EPISODE 9 (END)
Written by Rukevwe merry
After the settlement between the couples, the marriage preparations continued in full swing. Henry took Isabella out for shopping, enjoying the excitement of planning their future together.
Inside the mall, they browsed through various stores, selecting elegant decorations and furnishings for their new home.
Later, as they exited the mall, Anita unexpectedly spotted them. Her eyes locked onto Henry and Isabella, her expression twisting in anguish.
“Henry, what are you doing with Isabella here?” Anita asked, her voice laced with desperation.
Henry turned, his eyes meeting Anita’s. A sarcastic smile spread across his face. “We’re shopping for our wedding, of course.”
Anita’s face fell, her words caught in her throat. Henry’s blunt response left her speechless.
Without another glance, Henry turned back to Isabella. “Shall we continue?”
Together, they walked away, leaving Anita.
Anita was furious, her anger boiling over as she dialed her mother’s number.
“Mom, guess who I just saw at the mall?” Anita spat, her voice trembling. “Henry and Isabella! I confronted Henry, and he said they’re shopping for their wedding.”
Clara’s calm tone belied her own rising anger. “What? That’s impossible. I thought I made it clear to Margaretโ”
Anita’s frustration grew. “You said you’d stop the marriage, Mom. What’s happening?”
Clara’s resolve hardened. “Don’t worry, dear. I know what to do.” She ended the call and immediately dialed Margaret’s number.
However, Mr. Thompson answered instead. “Hello?”
Clara requested, “Please hand over the phone to your wife. I need to speak with her.”
Mr. Thompson’s voice turned cold. “You want to talk to Margaret? Talk to me instead.”
Clara attempted to proceed, but Mr. Thompson cut her off.
“What do you want, Clara?” he demanded.
Clara’s true intentions spilled out. “I want to tell you something, sirโ”
But Mr. Thompson wouldn’t let her finish.
“You’re an ev!/ friend, Clara! How dare you suggest my wife che*at on me, only to blackm*il her later? We’ve done so much for you and your family, yet you repay us with evil!.”
“Clara, listen carefully. If you contact my wife or any member of my family again, I will not hesitate to file a police report against you for har*ssment, blackm”il, and thr*ats. Leave us alone.”
Clara slammed her phone down, Mr. Thompson’s words echoing in her mind. She realized she’d lost and risked jail time if she continued her schemes.
A month later, Henry and Isabella’s wedding was a joyful celebration, filled with loved ones.
The emcee’s voice filled the room, “Ladies and gentlemen, dear friends and family, it’s time for the father-of-the-groom’s speech! Please welcome, Mr. Thompson!”
Mr. Thompson rose from his seat, a warm smile spreading across his face.
“Dear friends and family,
Today, we gather to celebrate the union of two amazing individuals, Henry and Isabella. As Henry’s father, I’m overjoyed to see my son find his soulmate.
I’ve always been proud of the person Henry is becoming, but I haven’t always been the most attentive father. My work once consumed me, and I almost lost sight of what truly matters.
One fateful day, Henry’s near-accident in the swimming pool shook me awake. I realized that life is fragile and that family should always come first.
Since then, I’ve made a conscious effort to prioritize my relationships, especially with Henry.
To Henry and Isabella, may your love continue to flourish. Communicate openly, laugh together, and cherish every moment.
Build a foundation of trust, respect, and mutual understanding.
Support each other’s goals, celebrate each other’s successes, and lift each other up in times of need.
And to all of us here today, let’s celebrate the beginning of a new chapter in Henry and Isabella’s lives.
A chapter filled with laughter, adventure, and unconditional love.
So let us raise our glasses and toast to the happy couple! May their love story be a testament to the power of true love!”
The audience applauded as Mr. Thompson’s words resonated deeply.
Henry and Isabella sealed their love with a kiss, and were showered with blessings and congratulations.
As the newlyweds posed for photos, surrounded by loved ones, Clara watched from afar, a hint of regret in her eyes.
But today wasn’t about her; it was about the union of two souls.
The emcee announced, “It’s time for the family photo shoot! Gather around, everyone!”
The room filled with laughter and chatter as friends and family gathered around Henry and Isabella.
Cameras snapped, capturing the joy and love that filled the air.
And as they all smiled together, Mr. Thompson wrapped his arm around his son and daughter-in-law, his eyes shining with pride.
“Today marks the beginning of a new chapter,” he whispered. “A chapter filled with love, laughter, and adventure.”
THE END.
Here’s Margaret’s message:
“Dear friends and family,
As a parent who’s been through a similar struggle, I urge you: prioritize your children’s happiness. Don’t neglect or force them into relationships that will bring lifelong misery.
Remember, social class is temporary; it can change overnight. Don’t sacrifice your child’s happiness for status.
Beware of toxic friends who offer harmful advice, only to use it against you later. I almost fell victim to Clara’s manipulation.
Cultivate open communication with your spouse; make them your closest friend.
Value self-respect, integrity, and honesty.
To parents and couples:
– Prioritize love over social status
– Communicate openly
– Avoid toxic influences
– Build self-respect
– Nurture lifelong relationships
Sincerely,
Margaret”
