MY FIRST LOVE
EPISODE 2
WRITTEN BY RUKEVWE MERRY

After the dramatic rescue, Mr. and Mrs. Thompson decided to reward Alice’s bravery and selflessness. They offered her and Isabella the boy’s quarter of the compound to stay, rent-free.

“You’re more than just a nanny to us, Alice,” Mrs. Thompson said, smiling warmly. “You’re family. You and Isabella can stay here, and we’ll take care of everything.”

Alice was overwhelmed with gratitude. She accepted the offer, and soon, she and Isabella settled into their new home.

As time passed, Henry, Isabella, and Alice grew closer. Henry and Isabella became inseparable, exploring the compound and playing together. Alice watched over them with a loving gaze.

However, not everyone was pleased with the new arrangement. Mrs. Thompson’s friend Clara would often visit with her daughter Anita, who was around Henry’s age.

Anita was a rough player, always eager to assert her dominance. Henry, still recovering from his traumatic experience, found Anita’s behavior unsettling.

“Why does Anita always have to play rough?” Henry asked Isabella one day.

Isabella shrugged. “I don’t know, but I don’t like playing with her either.”

As the days went by, Henry and Isabella’s bond strengthened. They shared secrets, laughter, and adventures. Alice smiled, knowing her daughter had found a true friend.

Years passed, and the children grew up together. Henry’s aquaphobia lingered, but with Isabella by his side, he felt more confident.

Twenty-four-year-old Henry and 18-year-old Isabella’s friendship had blossomed into something more. Mrs. Thompson noticed Henry’s growing attachment to Isabella and felt uneasy, believing Isabella wasn’t suitable for her son due to their social differences.

Mrs. Thompson tried to subtly separate Henry from Isabella, but Henry refused. His feelings for Isabella deepened, and he saw beyond their social status.

One day, Henry, mustered the courage to ask 18-year-old Isabella to be his girlfriend. Despite her romantic feelings for Henry, Isabella declined, fearing their social differences would lead to her and her mother’s eviction from the Thompson’s compound.

Mrs. Thompson, determined to keep Henry and Isabella apart, conspired with her friend Clara. Clara’s 21-year-old daughter, Anita, had been infatuated with Henry since childhood, but he never reciprocated her interest.

Mrs. Thompson saw Anita as the perfect solution to divert Henry’s attention from Isabella. Clara agreed to bring 21-year-old Anita to the Thompson’s mansion for a holiday, hoping to rekindle Henry’s interest in her.

Upon Anita’s arrival at the mansion, she attempted to distract Henry from Isabella. Despite her efforts, Henry remained uninterested in Anita’s friendship and advances.

One day, while Henry was heading towards the pool, Anita spiked his juice and brought it to him. Unknown to Henry, Anita had laced the drink with a sedat!ve.

As Henry drank the juice, Isabella appeared, watching the flowers nearby. Anita was startled, having thought she was alone in the compound.

Henry, feeling dizzy, tried to talk to Isabella, but she ignored him, lost in thought. Unknown
to Henry, Isabella had planned to surprise him by accepting his romantic advances.

In her mind, Isabella had rehearsed the moment: “Yes, Henry, I’ll be your girlfriend.” But Henry didn’t know that.

Henry, frustrated by Isabella’s indifference, returned to Anita, who was waiting by the pool.

Anita had planned to take advantage of Henry’s vulnerable state. She wanted to lure him to his room, intending to falsely accuse him of trying to take advantage of her.

With this fabricated story, Anita hoped to manipulate Henry’s parents into forcing him to marry her.

As Anita received a call on her phone, Henry’s dizziness worsened, and he fell into the swimming pool. Anita, unable to swim and aquaphobic, panicked.

Isabella, having learned swimming from Alice, jumped into the pool and rescued Henry, who was unconscious.

Anita pushed Isabella aside, yelling, “Get out! You’re d!rty!” and called security to help carry Henry to the house.

Hours later, Henry regained consciousness, surrounded by Anita, his parents, and Alice.

Henry looked around the room, hoping to see Isabella. But she wasn’t there.
He looked again, feeling disappointed.

Anita saw Henry searching for Isabella and quickly changed the subject.

“Henry, I’m so relieved you’re okay. I jumped into the water to save you!”

Everyone thanked Anita, and Henry’s mom asked them to leave so he could rest.

After everyone left, Anita snuck back in.

“Henry, I need to tell you something. Isabella is a terr!ble person. When you were dr0wning, she didn’t help.” “She hissed and walked away, leaving you to dr0wn.”

Henry’s heart sank.

But he wanted clarity. He went to the security guards.

“Was Isabella there when I was rescued?” he asked.

“No, sir,” they replied. “It was Anita who rescued you, with our help.”

Henry felt dece*ved, believing Anita’s l!e.

From that day on, he vowed to distance himself from Isabella, unaware of Anita’s manipulation.

What Henry didn’t know was that Anita had
l!ed.

Isabella had indeed saved him.

And Henry’s heart had just been manipulated into turning against the one person who truly cared.
