LOVE IN THE APARTMENT
EPISODE 13
Emily’s heart still raced from the kiss. She couldn’t believe Alex felt the same way.
As they pulled away, Alex smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. “I’ve been wanting to do that for so long,” he whispered.
Emily’s face flushed, but she smiled back. “I’ve been wanting you to.”
Alex took her hand, his eyes locked onto hers. “Emily, from the moment I met you, I knew you were special. Will you be my girlfriend?”
Emily’s heart fluttered at the question. She couldn’t believe he was asking her. “Yes, yes, a million times yes!” she exclaimed, her voice barely above a whisper.
Alex grinned, relief washing over him. They hugged, holding each other tightly.
As they disengaged from the hug, Emily’s face glowed with happiness. “We should tell Jamie about us,” she suggested, her eyes sparkling.
Alex chuckled. “Yeah, he’s going to freak out. But I’m excited to share this with him.”
Emily nodded, already imagining Jamie’s reaction. “Let’s go tell him now.”
Hand in hand, they walked out of Emily’s room, ready to start their new journey together…
Alex and Emily walked hand in hand to the sitting room, where Jamie was engrossed in a TV show. They cleared their throats to get his attention.
“Hey, Jamie, can we talk to you for a minute?” Alex asked, his voice nervous.
Jamie muted the TV and turned to them, a questioning look on his face. “What’s up?”
Alex took a deep breath. “Emily and I have something to tell you.”
Emily squeezed Alex’s hand, her heart racing.
“We’re now dating,” Alex blurted out, his eyes locked onto Jamie’s.
Jamie’s expression changed from curiosity to shock, and then to anger. “What? You’re dating?” he growled, his voice low and menacing.
Emily felt a surge of fear, worried about her brother’s reaction.
“Jamie, please listen—” she started to say, but he cut her off.
“Alex, you broke the bro code! I don’t like that!” Jamie exclaimed, his face red with anger.
Alex held up his hands, pleading. “Jamie, come on, man. I love her. I promise I’ll take care of her.”
But Jamie’s expression didn’t change. Emily’s anxiety grew, fearing her brother’s disapproval.
Then, suddenly, Jamie burst out laughing. “Guys, you should see your faces right now! I was just kidding, okay?”
Emily’s anxiety dissipated, replaced by relief. Alex let out a sigh, a smile spreading across his face.
Jamie laughed. “I got you guys good! You’re so gullible.”
Emily playfully rolled her eyes. “You’re such a j**k, Jamie.”
Alex chuckled, shaking his head. “You got us, Jamie. But seriously, we’re happy. And we hope you can support us.”
Jamie’s grin faded, replaced by a warm smile. “Of course, I support you guys. I just wanted to have a little fun first.”
The tension dissipated, replaced by a sense of camaraderie. Jamie stood up, opening his arms for a group hug. “I’m happy for you both. Just don’t make me regret this.”
Emily sighed, relief washing over her. Alex stood up, grinning, and hugged Jamie. “Hey, you scared me there for a moment!”
When they disengaged, Jamie said, “Hey, bro, don’t mess with my sister, okay? Because I won’t hesitate to punch you in your handsome face.”
Alex raised his hands in surrender. “Hey, man, you know I can’t do that.”
Jamie smiled, believing him. He drew Emily into a hug. “Don’t trouble my bro, alright? You’re the stubborn one.”
Emily hit his chest playfully. “I’m not troublesome!”
They burst out laughing again. Alex turned to Emily and hugged her tightly.
Jamie looked at them, smiling, then excused himself. “I’ll leave you two lovebirds alone. Just don’t make me regret this.”
As Jamie walked away, Emily and Alex shared a tender moment, their hearts full of joy and love…
