IN LOVE WITH A S*X WORKER
EPISODE 8
Maya returned home, determined to clear her name and explain everything to Alex. But as she approached the house, she saw her belongings scattered outside. Alex’s father, mother, Dave, and Alex himself stood in the doorway, their faces twisted in anger.
“What are you doing here, you chæt?” Alex spat.
Maya tried to explain, pointing a finger at Dave. “It was Dave’s plan,” she said. “He called me, saying his car was faulty, and asked me to pick him up. Then he sent me a message with the hotel’s address.”
“But when I got there, he convinced me to drink a juice, and I don’t remember anything after that,” Maya continued. “I don’t know how I ended up in bed with that guy.”
Maya pulled out her phone to prove her story, but she was shocked to find no record of Dave’s call or message. Dave had deleted them from her phone while she was unconscious.
Dave smirked, “I’ve never left the house today. Maya’s just lying.”
To prove his point, Dave suggested checking his car or asking the gateman if he had left the compound. But Dave had already bribed the gateman, who falsely confirmed that Dave hadn’t left the premises.
Alex’s mom nodded in agreement, “That’s true. Dave’s been playing music all day. We’ve heard him loud and clear.”
Unknown to them, Dave had set his music to play loudly, making it seem like he was inside, while he executed his sinister plan.
Maya’s eyes widened in frustration.
But no one believed her. They thought she was trying to deflect attention from her own infidelity.
Maya begged for another chance to prove herself, suggesting they go to the hotel and ask people if they saw Dave there. But when they arrived, everyone denied seeing Dave. It was as if he had never been there.
As they returned home, Alex’s father’s anger boiled over. “You’re a pr.st.tute, and I only allowed you to marry my son for your father’s sake. But you’ve crossed the line. Pick up your things and get out of here!”
Maya fell to her knees, crying and begging for someone to listen. But no one would. They turned their backs on her, leaving her alone and heartbroken.
As Maya walked away from the house, tears streaming down her face, she felt a sense of despair wash over her. She had lost the one person she loved, and she knew she had been unfairly accused.
Meanwhile, Alex retreated to his room, overcome with emotion. He felt betrayed and hurt, and he didn’t know how to process his feelings. He lay down on his bed and cried, feeling like his world had been turned upside down.
Dave, on the other hand, felt an overwhelming sense of triumph and satisfaction. He had successfully manipulated the situation to his advantage, and he had destroyed Maya’s reputation and relationship with Alex. He couldn’t help but think back to the day Maya had insulted him at the hotel, and how he had vowed to get his revenge. Now, he felt like he had finally achieved it.
Maya had been trying to reach out to Alex for a week, but he had been ignoring her calls and messages. She had tried everything to get in touch with him, but he seemed to have shut her out completely.
She had sent him texts, pleading with him to listen to her side of the story, but he hadn’t responded.
After much stress from trying to reach Alex, Maya decided to move on and focus on her part-time nursing job to take her mind off things. However, she soon started experiencing persistent vomiting, irritation, and stomach pain. She decided to get a scan at the hospital where she worked and was shocked to discover that she was 6 weeks pregnant, having not even realized she had missed her period. Maya was excited and thought that if Alex knew about the pregnancy, he would forgive her. She called Alex immediately after the scan to share the news, but he didn’t pick up. She went to his house, but was not allowed to enter. She sent a text message, but there was no response. Alex saw the text message about the pregnancy and was initially happy, but then remembered what he thought he saw and assumed Maya was either lying to get his attention or was pregnant with someone else’s child. Meanwhile, Maya’s health was declining – she wasn’t eating well, couldn’t rest, and her blood pressure was high. Her pregnancy was also becoming more visible.
Meanwhile, Dave started taking his brother Alex out after he returned from his road construction project. Alex wanted to forget Maya as soon as possible, so he sought the help of Dave. One night, Dave and Alex were coming from a night club when Alex spotted Maya on the street, standing with her big stomach. He quickly tapped on Dave to pull the car over, pointing at Maya. “See, Dave, Maya is pregnant! Let’s go and talk to her,” Alex exclaimed. But Dave was hesitant, saying, “She’s from the street, maybe she’s pregnant for someone already.” Alex persisted, saying, “Remember, she’s still my wife!” But Dave managed to convince Alex, and they drove away.
As they drove off, Alex couldn’t shake off the feeling that he had just seen his wife, pregnant and alone on the street. He felt a pang of guilt and responsibility, but Dave reassured him that he was better off without her.
Alex stepped into his house, his mind racing after seeing Maya on the street, her heavily pregnant frame etched in his memory. “What if the child is mine?” he thought, his anger momentarily subsiding. He needed answers. Grabbing his phone, he dialed Maya’s number, but she rejected his calls. Frustration mounted as he waited for morning, eager to confront her and uncover the truth. The night seemed endless, but finally, dawn arrived, and Alex set out to face Maya, determined to get to the bottom of things.
