As my situation worsened I intensified begging my wife for assistance which she kept declining until she finally snapped and shouted at me over the phone.
“You know what? I’m tired of your calls and texts, I will block you after this. Do you think I’m stupid?. Do you think I don’t have sense?. Forget about me and focus on your relationship with my friend. You can start a new family with her. After all, she’s pregnant. I have moved on with my life” she poured out, shocking me with her words which I never expected. I couldn’t even say anything for some seconds as I weighed her outburst
“Are you suddenly speechless huh?” She asked
“I’m not speechless. It’s just that I’m surprised where all these are coming from. I don’t understand you” I managed to mutter
“Seriously Mr Val?” she sneered
“Well I got to know everything the moment Tessy’s husband chased her out and she came to my house with her things. I ran into her husband the next day and he told me everything with video evidence, receipts, transactions, every single detail. But I was no fool to start fighting you or her. I kept my cool because I never planned on leaving my marriage empty handed. I had to endure and stay till I finished processing my school and Visa which you took care of. That’s my parting gift and compensation. I don’t have any ill feelings towards you. Enjoy your fruitful wife and stop bugging me” she screamed and ended the call almost ending my life with it as well. I was speechless, I was ruined, I was devastated. She was my only hope for survival. She was my only hope and road to Europe. I was completely lost, jobless and broke
I cried. I cried like a widow whose husband left ten children to cater for .
“Where do I start? What do I do now?” I wondered over and over. If only I had any suspicion that she knew I wouldn’t have gone all out to empty myself to send her abroad.
“God why me?” I cried
“Other men cheat and still progress. Why is mine different?” I asked over and over

“She knew. My wife knows” I informed Tessy when we met later in the evening
“How did it happen?” She asked curiously,
“Apparently your ex husband told her the whole story and she kept it to herself all these while” I answered quickly
“Well at least it didn’t come from me” she responded without any care. Of course she really didn’t understand the position I was in at that moment.
Nevertheless she soon got to know my situation when I began failing to meet up to her demands. I couldn’t even subscribe to her TV anymore and quarrels erupted between us. Luckily we weren’t living together and so I was able to avoid her to an extent and when she finally realized I was finished, she left me alone and blocked me from her life.
And so without any job nor funds to start up my business again, I had no choice than use my car for Uber at least to survive and stay alive
And that was it, that was how I ended up broke, lost my wife and lost the prospects of starting a new life abroad just because of cheating.
Who knows maybe one day God will answer my prayers and my wife will come back to me. As for now I’m just surviving with no direction
