From HouseMaid To Oga’s Wife

From Housemaid to Oga’s Wife Episode One

Martins sat in the living room with his face looking dull as his parents continued to talk about the marriage plans. They had made up their minds to marry him off to Jessica, the daughter of their rich friend. Martins did not argue. He knew there was no point. They were not going to listen to him. He had begged them many times, but they said he was being foolish. They said love does not matter, and that wealth and class were more important. So, he agreed, but he had a secret plan in his heart.

The wedding between Martins and Jessica was loud and expensive. Both families brought money and invited important people. Photographers, musicians, and decorators filled the compound. It was as if a prince was getting married. Martins smiled in all the pictures and videos, but inside him, he was not happy. Jessica was beautiful and stylish, but Martins knew he did not love her. He was only doing what his parents wanted, and he knew he was going to take back control of his life after the wedding.

Jessica and Martins moved into a new house one week after the wedding. She came with her clothes, wigs, shoes, and perfumes. She decorated the room with her touch. She told Martins that she did not know how to cook or wash, and that house chores were not her thing. Martins smiled and told her not to worry. He promised to get a housemaid to take care of all those things. Jessica was happy. That was exactly the kind of life she wanted. She wants to just relax and enjoy life while someone else worked.

“I don’t have power for all these things. I just want sof life. I have always lived a soft life.” She said.

“No need to worry. I will hire a housemaid who will take care of everything.” Martins said.

Martins already knew the person he wanted to bring in as the housemaid. It was Nnenna. She was the woman Martins truly loved. They had been dating for over two years, but her poor background was the problem. Martins’ parents had insulted Nnenna’s parents and said she could never enter their family. They called her all kinds of names. Even when Martins begged, they refused. They said he should choose between them and the poor girl. In the end, Martins chose to act wisely.

He called Nnenna on the phone and explained the situation to her. He told her how his parents forced him to marry Jessica. He said the only way he could keep her close was to make her the housemaid. Nnenna was shocked at first. She asked questions. She said it was shameful, but Martins begged her. He promised that things would not remain like that forever. He said it was only for a while. Nnenna finally agreed. She accepted the offer because of love.

Martins gave her the address and paid for her transport. She arrived the next day. When Jessica saw her, she was excited. Nnenna looked humble, gentle, and respectful. She also looked like someone who knew how to cook and clean. Jessica quickly liked her and even helped her settle into the boys’ quarters at the back. She told Nnenna that she should not worry about doing too much. She said she only needed someone to cook and help arrange the house. Nnenna nodded quietly.

Nnenna went straight into the kitchen and prepared egusi soup that same day. She added stockfish, goat meat, and correct seasoning. The aroma filled the whole house. Jessica was impressed. She called her friends to tell them how lucky she was to have such a good housemaid. She even posted pictures of the food on social media. Martins smiled to himself. Everything was going according to plan. Nnenna was now in his house, and no one suspected anything.

That night, Martins waited until the whole house was quiet. Jessica had gone to bed early. She was tired from gossiping on the phone all day. Nnenna had finished washing plates and had gone to sleep in the small room at the back. Around 11pm, Martins came out of his bedroom and tiptoed to the boys’ quarters. He knocked gently, and Nnenna opened the door without delay. She had been expecting him. They hugged silently.

Martins entered the small room and locked the door. The room was small but neat. There was only one small bed and a standing fan. The light was off, but the moonlight coming from the window was enough to show their faces. Martins sat on the bed and pulled Nnenna close. They didn’t say much. Their eyes did the talking. It had been weeks since they saw each other, and now they were finally alone, even though it was under strange conditions.

He held her close and whispered in her ears.

“I missed you so much.” Martins said.

“I missed you more.” Nnenna said.

Nnenna removed her wrapper. They lay on the bed and covered themselves. It felt like old times. They touched each other like lovers who had missed themselves deeply. They made love quietly, careful not to make noise that would wake Jessica or attract attention. It was not just about the love-making; it was about the connection they still had, even with everything that had happened. They held each other till they both slept off.

Around 4am, Martins stood up from the bed. He put on his clothes and hugged Nnenna. He told her he had to go back before Jessica woke up. Nnenna nodded. She watched him walk out of the room quietly and return to the main house. He entered his room, lay on the bed beside Jessica, and closed his eyes. Jessica did not even notice. She was fast asleep. She turned to the other side and continued snoring softly.

From that day, it became a regular thing. Every two or three nights, Martins would sneak into Nnenna’s room and spend time with her. He continued to act normal during the day. Jessica did not suspect anything. She even praised her husband for being a caring man and for getting her a nice housemaid. Martins just smiled and said nothing. He knew he had to be careful. He did not want anything to spoil the plan he had started.

“I’m enjoying this. I hope no one will catch us.” Martins said.
