As Anita’s dizzy state gradually faded, and her sanity returned , she discovered that she was being transported by her abductors in a moving vehicle. Although blindfolded, she could tell they were moving in high speed due to the vibration she felt as the car accelerated. As she sat tied up, engulfed in darkness by the blindfold strapped around her eyes, she silently beneath her breath began praying to God for the gift of death as fear of becoming a specimen and a laboratory rat clouded her imagination.
But the more she pray, the more the answer drifted away. Anita forceful tumbled, hitting her head against the iron van walls as the van came to a halt, Anita whined in pain before she was forced to stand by her abductors as they led her out of the vehicle.
” Is this my package? Said a thick baritone voice.
” Yes boss ” a man replied.
” How sure are you, because if it’s a different person you head will be detached from your body by sunset!
” She’s the price sir, not a mistaken identity,I $wβ¬ar on my life”
” You swearing means nothing,if at the end of it all I find out that she is not the chosen one” the boss replied.
” Boss please what is special about the girl? Asked one of Anita’s abductors.
” Young man if you can’t mind your damn business, and put your ugly face away from this matter,I will cut your tongue and feed it to the dogs, do you understand? the boss questioned.
” I’m sorry don” the man replied.
“Alright then guys wrap it up, it’s time to go ” the boss commanded.
Two tall men came forward to pick up Anita where she laid on the ground and led her to the car,one of the men reenforced the dog tape strapped around her lips to prevent any sort of drama. Anita was helpless and defenseless, she could not scream, run or even plead for her life nor knew where or what they were taking her for,all she could do at the moment was doing the bidding of her abductors with unquestionably loyalty like a puppet to it’s master.
As the two men were about placing Anita into the boot,a white hilux approached in high speed,drifting across the highway . The door swung open and four masked dark skinned men,tall,built and armed to the teeth jumped out, opening fire on Anita’s abductors.
The group holding Anita hostage left her on the ground to concentrate on the pressing issues on ground,they also fired back but were no match for the masked men, who proved to be real life commandos.
On seeing that he was losing his men, the chief amongst the abductors, marked by his distinctive baritone voice,got into his Chevrolet mustang and fled the scene for the fear of death. After taking out their rivals, the masked man proceeded to pick up the poor girl, put her into the hilux,and drove away.
Hot tears to rolled down from Anita’s eyes as she sat in the van. As her fate remained uncertained ,she said her last prayers in the chambers of her heart, praying that God should grant her soul a resting place if her abductors decided to end her life. Soon the car came to a halt as the men reached their desired destination.
Anita was forced out of the car and taken to a garage for the boss’s examination.
” She is the one ” said a man in an affirmative voice.
“Take off the blindfold ” the man commanded, and acting on his command, his men took off the blindfold strapped around Anita’s eyes. The quick appearance of light after being engulfed in darkness for a while made her squint her eyes as she felt deeply uncomfortable, like a prison who was brought out from a dungeon and forced to face the sun.
” Who thought she would be this beautiful” said the boss.
” She is definitely a beauty queen ” said one of the men.
” You f00l,I was asking a rethorical question and expected no answer ” screamed the boss in anger.
” I’m sorry boss it won’t happen again ” the man replied.
” Take off the dog tape” commanded the boss.
The tape strapped around Anita’s mouth was removed and she felt a little relief.
” So how did you manage to stay this young after many years of journeying through life,you are indeed an uncommon phenomenon and should earn a place amongst the wonders of the world” said the boss who was a bit light in complexion , cleanly shaved, tall and wore black suit.
Anita kept mute for a while as she scanned through her environment seeking for an escape route, as her brain struggled to interpret the bitter reality unfolding before her eyes. Then there came the outburst.
” please let me go,I don’t know what you are talking about, but whatever it’s is, you have the wrong person, please let me go” Anita cried.
” Hahaha, hahaha” the boss laughed, and kept doing so to humiliate the poor girl, the armed men standing in the room as joined him in his hysterical laughter.
“You think those tears will make me grant you freedom? Oh no, lady the hundred million dollars price on your head is way too precious to slip my pass fingers after working day and night to find you, so save your strength for what coming ” said the boss before continuing in his hysterical laughter.
