FAMILY SECRET
EPISODE 10

Anita’s eyes darted around the room, avoiding her son’s gaze. “Henry, where did you get that idea from?” she asked, her voice trembling.

“Answer me, mom! Do I have a brother or not?” Henry demanded, his voice firm but gentle.

Anita sighed and looked down, her eyes welling up with tears. “Yes, Henry. You have a twin brother. His name is Harry.”

Henry’s eyes widened in shock. “Why did you keep this from me? Why did you lie to me all these years?”

Anita broke down in tears. “I’m sorry, Henry. Your father and I had problems, and we separated. I took you with me, and your father took Harry. I thought it was best for everyone.

Best? Mom, I thought you were the best, like a kin to the almighty. But I never knew you were this heartlรฉss and self!sh. Mom, didn’t you think for once how the son you left behind would feel? When he is cold, he needs his mom. When he is sick, he needs his mom. Didn’t you miss my brother Harry even once?

How could you stay all these years without your son Harry and you feel okay? Henry demanded.

“I’m sorry, I missed Harry a lot.” I even went back to your father’s house, but it was sold to someone else. I couldn’t reach your father or your brother. Anita cried out.

“You have no excuse! What about your parents, mom? You never spoke about them when I asked about your parents. I trusted you, but you broke my heart.” Henry cried.

“I don’t want to contact my parents; they’ll make me go back to your dad. I’ve had enough of him.” Anita cried.

“Mom, you broke my heart. I’m very angry with you.”

“I wonder how my brother will feel when he sees you. You denied him his mother’s and father’s love,” Henry said, his anger evident.

As he turned to walk away, Sophia intervened, “Henry, everyone makes mistakes, but forgiveness is what makes us strong. Please forgive her; let’s move forward.”

Sophia’s wise words resonated with Henry, and he forgave his mom. “Mom, I forgive you. Let’s move forward,” he said, his tone softening.

His mom was overjoyed and thanked Sophia for her timely advice. United, they decided to put the past behind them and start anew. The next day, Friday, they all went to Harry’s Plaza, Anita is eager to reunite with Harry.

Anita’s heart raced with anticipation and nervousness as she arrived at Harry’s Plaza with Henry and Sophia. She had dreamed of this moment for years, finally reuniting with her long-lost son, Harry. Henry, still processing his emotions, stood by her side, supporting her. Sophia accompanied them, offering a calming presence.

As they entered the plaza, Anita’s eyes scanned the area, searching for a familiar face. And then, she saw him – a young man with striking features, a mirror image of Henry, standing outside talking to someone. Her heart swelled with love and longing. “Harry,” she called out to him from a distance. Harry looked up, and their eyes met. Time stood still as they stared at each other, the connection evident.

Anita took a step forward, her arms open wide, and Harry, sensing the resemblance of the woman he had always seen her photo in his grandfather’s house, began to walk towards her. Harry came closer, and he gave a sign to Henry, asking if this was their mother. Henry nodded his head, and Harry ran to embrace his mom, tears of joy streaming down his eyes. Anita cried out, still hugging Harry, “Please forgive me for leaving you behind.” But Harry replied, “Mom, you don’t need to be sorry… I’m very happy to see you, you’re alive.”

Anita, Sophia, and Henry were surprised that Harry wasn’t angry but was happy and grateful to see her. After their emotional hug, Anita kept apologizing, but Harry wiped her tears and told her he wasn’t angry but grateful to God who made them reunite, answering his prayers.

After much mother-and-son chatting, Harry suggested they go see Anita’s parents, his grandparents. Anita was scared to face them after abandoning them for so long, but she wanted to repent and make amends. They all went to Anita’s parents’ home, where Henry went inside first. The grandparents were delighted to see him, thinking he was Harry.

But when Harry entered the sitting room, they were shocked to see two identical boys! The grandparents stood up, stunned, before they could ask who was who. Sophia and Anita entered the house, and Anita’s mom was surprised. She went straight to Anita, who couldn’t raise her face in shame. Anita’s mom hugged her tightly, “Anita, my baby girl, so you’re alive.” Anita nodded, tears streaming down her face.

Anita’s father joined the hug, and after much hugging, Harry’s grandparents also hugged Henry, who introduced himself. Everyone sat down, and they talked. Anita begged her parents for forgiveness, explaining why she had stayed away for so long. Her reasons weren’t justified, but everyone was happy they had reunited. Everyone forgave each other, and after the emotional reunion, they all headed to Andrew’s home.

When they arrived, Harry went inside the house first, and Andrew and his son Harry exchanged pleasantries. Then, Henry entered the house, and Andrew was shocked to see two Harrys! Anita, Sophia, and Anita’s parents entered the house, and Andrew, who had been drinking, couldn’t contain his joy. He hugged his wife and apologized for destroying his family with his own hands, regretting the bad advice he had followed. Henry reassured him, “Don’t cry, Dad. From now on, we’ll all live together as a happy and big family.”

Harry and Henry hugged their father Andrew, and the reunion was filled with joy, forgiveness, and new beginnings.
