Through out the journey, Frank’s mom kept on passing mean contacts at me.
I knew I was in a very hot soup. I maintained my cool despite everything.
Even when I had the urge to throw up because of my pregnancy hormones, I suppressed it because I didn’t want to provoke her.
When we got to the house, I was given a room. When I was about entering my room, Frank’s mom asked me to seat that she has some questions to ask.
“How old are you sef?”. She asked.
“I am 19yrs old mummy”.
“Point of correction, I am not your mother. Don’t ever call me that. When did you start sleeping with my son?”.
I felt awkward, so I didn’t reply. I just kept on staring at the floor.
“Are you not the one I am asking?”. She shouted.
“Since I was 16yrs ma”. I replied with shame.
“You see your life? At 16, you are already seducing men. Now see the mess you have dragged my son into..”.
“Enough woman!!”. Frank’s father charged at her.
“I am only saying my mind o because someone needs to tell her the truth”. Frank’s mother replied defensively.
“Go into your room Chinyere”. Frank’s father beckoned on me and I left.
I heard Frank’s parents exchanging words heatedly.
“Just one day here, I am already causing problems”. I said to myself with deep pains.
Later that night, I tried to assist Frank’s mom in the kitchen but she rudely discharged me.
I didn’t know what else to do, so I just stood in the kitchen watching her.
“I said get out of my sight”. She charged at me like an angry Lion.
I quickly crawled back to my room.
I laid on my bed crying when Frank walked in.
“Why are you crying?”. He asked.
I stood up and kept hitting him on his chest.
“How could you do this to me Frank? Howww???”. I asked with tears.
“I’m sorry babe. I didn’t know what to do honestly. Everything happened so fast”. He said and pulled me to himself.
I tried to free myself from his arms, but he held onto me firmly.
