CHAPTER FIVE
It’s been two days of no communication she decided to go see if he had finally calmed down. She went to his place since she had his keys she went in arrange the house, went to the market and came back and prepared food for him that evening.
When he came back that evening he was in fact happy to see her and even invited her to go for an occasion with him. One might have concluded that he had changed but the happiness only lasted for few hours.
They were dressed and ready to go when he told her.
“Melo what are you wearing? Are you planning to go and disgrace me in front of my friends with that dress you’re wearing? Get back in there and change into something else or better still you stay back!” He exclaimed angrily.
“But Babe you know I didn’t bring along any outfit for clubbing right. I am only trying to manage what I have for now.”😔
He took his keys and took off angrily leaving Melona confused as she sat there wondering what she had done again.
After thirty minutes he returned with an oxblood gown and gave Melo. Melona took the dress went in and dressed though she felt very uncomfortable in it she didn’t complain least he got angry again.
Her back was all out and her curves were all announcing itself through the dress. She was indeed beautiful in the dress except that she did not like the fitting and the exposure.
They step out, took a bike and it dropped them at Corners.
They were going to this popular club to celebrate with Alex’s friend Larry. As they were walking into the bar, guys could not take their eyes off Melona.
Alex could not help but notice and then smiled and then he held her hand very jealously as if to say she’s mind back off.
After a few minutes of observing he was spotted by his friend who walked up to him and took them to where they had reserve for the party.
“Happy birthday ma G”
“Thanks Bro” Larry said smiling, shaking hands
and taping backs doing the bro greetings.
“Larry!!! Happy birthday!” Melo said in a sweet and soft voice
“Thank you Melo” smiling
“You look great my bro here,” pointing at Alex “has indeed been taking good care of you I guess”
“Thanks Larry, for sure he has” she responded as they all laughed
Alex then turned around, shaking hands with most of his close friend present . Larry called for the waiter to come and take Alex and Melo’s order for drinks.
They already has a wide tray of soya steaks on the table and everyone else was already eating and drinking. Larry extended his hands inside his pocket and brought out a birthday gift for Alex and he took it and thanked him for the gift.
Birthday has been going on well good music they even ordered the Dj to play happy birthday song for Larry as he prepares to pop his champagne.
After some time everyone was now drinking and dancing. Melo was drinking Ice and she was already on her third bottle. She wasn’t feeling uncomfortable anymore she had relax and now wanting to dance but Alex was not the type who will easily give in. so she kept on moving her body while seating when Larry abandoned his date for that day to another friend of his, went up to Melona and invited her to dance with him but she hasitated
“Common don’t worry Alex doesn’t mind” looks at Alex “or do you mind Bro?”
“No it’s ok. Go ahead and dance with Larry.”
She gets up and as she moves to the dance floor with Larry many guys could not help but wish they could get a chance to dance with her.
Alex watched them with so much jealousy seeing his friend holding his girlfriend dancing and looking into her eyes.
Larry looked so happy dancing with her, he always wished he had extended his hand to Melo before Alex did. He’s always been in love with her but he dared not to say or do anything because his friend has never been kind to betrayals.
But that night he was drunk and it had given him the courage to ask Alex’s girlfriend to dance.
Alex on the other hand while watching his Girlfriend and friend dance, he could hear two guys discussion about Larry and Melo. They were just coming in and had not noticed that Alex and not Larry was Melo’s Boyfriend
“Guy see that Ngah massa” he said taping his friend
“The Ngah set die that ee boyfriend surely be very lucky” responded the other
“But wait ohh nobi that Matha ee friend that?” returned the other.
“Noo naw ee no fit be. You know say that Nga get padiman noh.”
” She can’t try going out with anyone else because that ee boyfriend di craze”
“Forget that tin massa maybe the Nga dan finally realize say the boy no correct for him. “Chaiii!!! see shape” he exclaimed
Ones more the little happy moment Melona had had to come to an end so soon .
