Synopsis:
The story follows Emmanuel, a bright and determined young man from a village who sets out to make a name for himself in the city. As Emmanuel faces rejection and disappointment at every turn, he begins to lose hope. He takes on a manual labor job to survive, but the work is backbreaking and the pay is barely enough to keep him afloat. Despite his best efforts, he finds himself at the mercy of the city’s cruel fate.
When Emmanuel tries to help someone in need, he is brutally beaten and left to pick up the pieces of his shattered life. To make matters worse, he receives an eviction notice and is forced to confront the very real possibility of homelessness.
As Emmanuel’s world crumbles around him, he is left to wonder if he will ever find a way out of the darkness. Will he be able to overcome the odds stacked against him, or will the city consume him whole?
