A LOVE TRIANGLE
Episode 2
Annabel stepped out of the taxi and onto the sprawling campus of Oakwood College. She couldn’t believe her eyes – the buildings were sleek and modern, the lawns perfectly manicured. It was a far cry from her old school.
As she made her way to the registration desk, Anna felt a sense of nervousness wash over her. What if she didn’t fit in? What if she wasn’t good enough?
The registration process was smooth and efficient, and soon Anna had her class schedule and dorm assignment in hand. She was relieved to find that she would be sharing a room with only one other person, a girl named Sophia.
As Annabel made her way to her dorm, she couldn’t help but feel a sense of awe at the opulence surrounding her. The dorm rooms were like luxury apartments, with plush carpets and flat-screen TVs.
Sophia, her roommate, was already there, unpacking her bags. She looked up and smiled as Annabel entered.
“Hey, I’m Sophia. Welcome to our humble abode.”
Annabel smiled back, feeling a sense of relief. Maybe this wouldn’t be so bad after all.
As they unpacked and settled in, Annabel and Sophia chatted about their backgrounds and interests. Annabel was surprised to find that they had a lot in common, despite their vastly different upbringings.
But as they headed to their first day of classes, Anna couldn’t shake off the feeling that she was being watched. She glanced around, wondering if anyone was staring at her.
That’s when she saw them – the three most beautiful girls in school, Titi, Lily, and Jessica, known as the “Queens” of Oakwood College. They were standing by the lockers, eyeing Annabel up and down.
Anna felt a shiver run down her spine. She knew that she had to be careful. These girls didn’t look like the friendly type.
As Annabel and Sophia approached their first class, Annabel couldn’t help but notice the Queens whispering to each other, their eyes fixed on her. She felt a surge of anxiety and wondered if she had somehow already made enemies.
The class was a blur, with Anna struggling to focus on the lecturer’s words. She couldn’t shake off the feeling of being watched, and her eyes kept drifting back to the Queens.
At lunchtime, Sophia suggested they sit with some of her friends in the cafeteria. Annabel agreed, hoping to blend in and avoid any more attention from the Queens.
But as they sat down, Titi, Lily, and Jessica appeared out of nowhere, their eyes fixed on Annabel with a mixture of curiosity and hostility.
“Well, well, well. Look what we have here,” Titi said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. “The scholarship girl. How quaint.”
Anna felt a surge of anger, but Sophia stepped in before she could respond.
“Hey, leave her alone. She’s new here.”
Lily raised an eyebrow. “And who are you to defend her?”
Sophia stood her ground. “I’m her roommate, and I won’t let you bully her.”
The Queens snickered, but Annabel could see the faintest glimmer of respect in their eyes. Maybe, just maybe, she had found an ally in Sophia.
As the Queens walked away, Annabel let out a sigh of relief. “Thanks, Sophia. I owe you one.”
Sophia smiled. “No problem. We’re in this together now.”
But as they finished lunch and headed to their next class, Annabel couldn’t shake off the feeling that the Queens were far from finished with her.
