Day 1
How do I tell this guy that I was only joking about marrying him
He came with his family to ask for my hand in marriage
Now here is how it all happened, some months back, on my way to the market to get some food stuff
I saw this guy kneeling and proposing to his girlfriend but the girl rejected him immediately and told him to get lost even after begging her and people cheering her to say yes.
I knew the guy was greatly embarrassed so I had to step in
I went to meet him and told him that I’ll marry him that he should propose to me Instead, and he did
I hugged him, after everything i gave him my contact and left.
I did all these so that he could be less embarrassed.
We only talked once on call and he said he was going to visit me and I gave him my house address.
Guess what, he came to my house one month after with his father to ask for my hand in marriage ๐ณ
How do i tell him that I wasn’t serious about what I told him that day ๐
So I didn’t have any excuse to give, he said since I promised him that I’ll marry him that I shouldn’t break my promise
So our wedding was scheduled the next Saturday ๐คง

Day 2
The first call I received the next morning was his.
I frowned when I saw his name displayed on my phone screen… George, yes that’s his name
I hated the ringtone I once loved because of his call.
I picked anyway, After our pleasantries, He said we should get to know each other by hanging out every evening before our wedding.
I blinked many times to understand what he was trying to say.
Wait oo….I thought he was going to change his mind because the list given to him could wreck a man.
My uncle was a very greedy man, I knew what he could do
Yet George still wants to marry me, Omo make them clear road for am oo.

I told him that I don’t close from work on time, we can always chat or call.
He insisted that we must meet every evening, that I needed to know his house

After marriage I’ll still be staying with my mother but I answered with an “okay”.
He said he’ll be picking me up later in the day
And he ended the call, phew…..
So I closed early that day so we could hangout ๐
On my way home I called him that I was going home, he said he was already at my place waiting for me
Wait….Does that mean he is jobless?
Well not my business, ahh no, it’s my business oo
How will he feed me and our children if he is jobless
No he isn’t, if he is he won’t have accepted that list.

Wait….why am I even thinking about how he will feed me and our children, as if I’ll allow him sleep with me.

That was me arguing with my thoughts.
I got home and true to his words, he was at my place
And he was seated comfortably watching movie on our TV in our sitting room.
Such audacity!! I was sneering at him and angry at my self for even saving his face from embarrassment some months ago.
I went into the room I and my mum share, dropped my things, took my towel and the clothes I was going to wear, passed him at the parlour and went to the bathroom
Well it is a room and a parlour self contained
After bathing I dried my body and wore my clothes inside the bathroom.
After everything I told him I was done, I told my mum I was going out with him, Of course she agreed, I sneered at her too.
George is good looking if I may say
He should be 5ft 8, Much taller than me
Dark skinned, straight nose, sexy eyes, kissable lips let me just end it there, it’s not as if I’m falling for his looks, Nah, he’s not my type.
Coming out from our compound, we went to his car, I thought we were going to be jumping buses
Oh…..thank goodness.
He drove off, all we did was talking and driving around until I told him I was hungry, I didn’t eat before leaving the house.
We stopped by a restaurant and I ate to my fill, then we talked for sometime before he dropped me home
Well that day didn’t go bad as I thought it would, and he wasn’t a boring person as I thought too.
I got home ate some more, then watched TV before going to sleep ๐ด
