The Brilliant Wife 23 and 24

In a private room, Jenny was seated together with her mother. The whole battle was getting over and everything was getting clear of. She had to clear everything with her husband and regain her powerful position. The two discussed for long and Margarita blessed her. She didn’t want to part with Jenny but this part was expected. Alexis ran into the room and hugged his grandmother. He was aware of the fact that they were leaving. Margarita blessed the two and helped them bring out their luggages. Patty stood at a corner and watched how Margarita kept muttering blessings and protections. She shook her head. Everything was packed into the car and the two, Alexis and Jenny kept waving Margarita good bye until the car drove away.

Henry had arranged the house and the transfer of the shares to Patty. The shares cost 5 billion but he didn’t care as long as Jenny came back to him he could gain back the lost 5 billion. He prepared Jenny’s favourite dish, fried egg rice with kimchi by the side. He couldn’t contain his smile and waited for her to arrive. He didn’t know they were two. If he had known, the whole house would have been decorated in a very, very special way. “Welcome home, wife and baby.” But what was written on the banner was “welcome home, Wife.”
It’s been 3 whole years. Jenny stepped down from the car with her son Alexis. They both stared at the grand mansion. Henry came out excited to see his long lost wife but he was shocked to also see a familiar face looking back at him. Did he have a child all this while? As if on cue, Alexis ran to hug him and they both hugged. He carried him up and Jenny couldn’t contain her smile as Alexis called him “daddy.” She cleaned the tears that were silently coming out from her eyes. Patty watched on in envy but thinking about how rich she was going to be she let go of her envy.
“Honey,” he cried and walked over to Jenny with Alexis in his arms, “honey,” he called again and Jenny cried in his arms as he held her.
“I missed you Henry,” she told him and he held her tight. He wished it was not a dream.

At the dining table, Henry refused to let go of Alexis as he kept feeding the little one. He couldn’t contain his excitement and kept smiling at both Jenny and his little son.
“Alexis,” he muttered. That name he kept muttering until the finished eating.
After eating, Patty packed out her belongings and was set to leave. Jenny said nothing much to her and wished her well. Henry gave her the package and she left them.
Episode 24
Alexis was put to sleep by Henry. When they were eating, Henry had called someone to decorate the room for him. The father and son had spent time knowing about each other until Alexis fell asleep.
Jenny was sitting at the edge of the bed in her nightgown. She was ready to tell Henry everything. As he entered and spotted her sitting at the edge of the bed, he smiled broadly. “I am sorry,” was what he heard her say, “your life is far important to me.”
He sat with her and held her hands, “what are you saying?”
“I am or I was a white magician. I hear thoughts of people around me. Those who are seeking to hurt me, “ she revealed in tears, “I couldn’t take it when it was revealed to me by my mother that someone wants you dead. At first, I thought it was a business man but later on I got to know it was Jerry.”
“You mean, you read minds?” He asked to be sure.
“It was before not now,” she told him, “I could not bear losing you. Your life is far important to me so I had to leave. What happened between you and his wife Juanita was all Jerry’s plan. I knew nothing happened between you two but I had to leave to fight this fight very well. During this time, I founded a company,” she paused and he looked at her.
“Which company?” His mind had already gone to the company named after his surname, Brandon Jr. Wears.
“Brandon Jr. Wears,” she said, “I am the person behind that company.” The revelation left him in shock. That company belonged to his wife’s. He thought about the possibility before but shrugged it off because Jenny didn’t study business. “I named it that when I discovered I was pregnant with our baby,” she revealed and continued, “at that time I began placing my cards and began playing them…” She told him everything that happened. The incident where the light of the house went off and came back and others too. How she made Jerry lose his self control to make Juanita pregnant then lost half of his strength. Also how she met Judy and many more.
He was intrigued by the story and found out why she left. He was grateful he maintained self control and didn’t fall for Patty or any other woman. He was happy his wife’s sacrifice and efforts didn’t go to waste.
“I will be going on an interview tomorrow to reveal myself to the public. Patty thinks she is bigger than me but I am going to give her a face slap. What is the essence of greed and power when your loved ones are not with you?” She paused and looked into Henry’s eyes, “I love you, Henry Brandon and you will always be my husband and father to our baby Alexis and many more to come.”
He hugged her and asked, “what about our divorce?”
She laughed, “it’s fake. It’s not real. I can never divorce you for anything in the world.” He held her tighter. That news excited him. The divorce was fake.
