Part 16.

By Authoress Rhoda.

“Adura! Adura!! Adura!!!” the pastor’s wife shouted, shaking her body vigorously, but she was unconscious.

Fear gripped her heart.

“Is Adura truly dead? She asked no one in particular.

” What if people allege her for murdering a life?”She asked again, looking confused.

The first thing that came to her mind was to rush her to the hospital. But how would she carry Adura? She asked.

Pacing to and fro the room, an idea jumped into her mind. She screamed “help” at the top of her voice. Her scream attracted people to the room.

Before “Jack” could be spelt, some guys entered the room. At the spur of the moment, rushed her to Pastor wife’s car.

Two guys followed her to the hospital.

It was as if the car was crawling, because it wasn’t moving as fast as their mind traveled to the hospital.

Immediately they got there, without much explanation, she was rushed to the emergency ward.

They battled tirelessly for Adura’s life.

She was almost gone into the court of heaven when a spirit sent her back, because her time wasn’t up. She kept on wandering till she came back to her real self.

She couldn’t help but cough.

Just the cough alone erased the tears on people’s eyes.

Well, they thought she was dead, but they strongly believed that the God of miracle would come to their aid.

Some prayed to God fervently for a miracle, while some gave up when it was taking forever for her to open her eyes.

Her parents rushed down to see their daughter. They couldn’t believe what they saw. Her mum was on the bare floor, wailing as if that would bring her daughter back to life.

Immediately Sade heard about her sister’s condition, she rushed down to the hospital, with Lanre.

“Lanre, it seems my sister tried aborting her pregnancy. Maybe that’s why she is admitted.” Sade said.

Lanre couldn’t utter a word. Many thoughts were running in his mind.

He still have a soft spot for Aduragbemi.

“Can we go to the hospital together. I warned that girl to always use protection whenever she wants to sleep with guys. Besides, how can a lady with disabilities enjoy what married people enjoy.” She said to Lanre who was deeply lost in his own thoughts.

“Lan-re!!!” she cried out.

The moment he heard ” Lanre” he snapped out of his thoughts.

He agreed to follow her to the hospital.

Deep down Sade’s heart, she wanted her sister dead so that no one will be able to compete with her man.

According to the doctor, she drank a deadly substance. The deadly substance reacted negatively on her body for hours.

She was in terrible pain, trying to hold her life. When it was as if all the immune she had failed her, she became helpless and the deadly substance damaged her internal organs to the extent that her physical or external organs stopped functioning.

“It will only take a miracle for this lady to be alive because she wasn’t brought in here on time. I fear she is dead. Let’s watch her closely and see if she will wake up. But left to me, she is gone.” the doctor announced.

The moment Sade saw her mother and sister in pathetic states, her conscience began to prick her. She felt sorry for all she had caused them, but was scared of telling people all the evil she had perpetuated.

” Praise the Lord!!!” Her father shouted immediately he noticed her daughter eyes opened. He couldn’t hide his joy. Every other person joined in praise God, the miracle worker.

After few days, she was discharged. Instead of her parents to return to their abode, they stayed with their daughters for few days, encouraging Adura and watching her closely. When they were assured that all is well, they left.

Pastor’s wife couldn’t erase all that transpired in her heart, which gave birth to many questions in her heart. She needed answers to those questions. Fortunately, Holy Spirit gave her answers to some of those questions. She was instructed to talk to Adura.

She went to her place some days after she was discharged from the hospital to say “hi” to Adura, only to meet her in a bad condition.

What was the condition.

To be continued.
