Silas was no longer comfortable. Pamela noticed his uneasiness “Let’s go” She said. As they stood up to leave, Kakamura called Pamela and whispered a few words to her ears.
So many thoughts ran through Silas’ mind, “What did she tell you” Silas asked as soon as they arrived at the president’s lodge
“Don’t be bothered. Just that you have a striking resemblance with your Father”
“My Father, you know my Dad?” He asked frankly
“Yes, Pastor Thomas Olawande”
Silas opened his mouth in awe.
“Your grandmother Mrs. Wande which we all know as Ichabod, wanted your father to marry that woman you saw the other time; Kakamura. Your father was a Christian a fire branded one, your grandmother was not comfortable with his spiritual life, so she arranged Kakamura for him, your father refused and married your mother; Christianah. Your grandmother did not rest, she began to make plans on how she can initiate your mother I was told to go close to her, I started as a new convert in your father’s church from there I and your mother became good friends I told her about the club, she accepted to join us, that time your grandmother has handed leadership over to Kakamura” She took a deep breath “After telling her the code and conduct of the group your mother flared up, she cursed us, she said she’s going to implicate us. Kakamura got angry and killed her. Her anger was just because Thomas did not marry her, because of that she laid rules that no serpentine should marry if you are married before your husband would die.
I was not happy she killed your mother, she does not deserve to die, she’s so caring, she’s a true Christian” Silas sighed “Your father threatened to arrest me, after searching for his wife for days, he knows she went out with me, we have to conspire against him, I lied he raped me and he was sent to jail”
“So my grandmother folded her hands and watched you and Kakamura destroy her son,” Silas asked
“Silas, she was the master planner. The bond between your mother and I made me care for you, I will always visit your nanny give her money and goodies till you grow up, I know your grandmother was doing the same. When Kakamura heard your father has a grown-up child somewhere, she haunted for your life. I had to beg your nanny to allow you to come with me. She was killed days after.
“Hmm” Silas inhaled deeply “With all you’ve said which I believe is true, why did you now choose to have marital affairs with me instead of a child and mother affair?”
“Forgive me, Silas, that’s the devil in me, I don’t even know what came over me”
“Is fine, I need your assistance to help my father get better”
“He’s alive?” Pamela asked surprisingly
“Yes, but he can’t remember anything do you have something that can make him recover his lost memory maybe pictures?”
“No, I have a picture I snapped with your father but I’ve not seen it in my album for some time now”
“I took it, is with my grandmother”
“Why will you do that, that means she already knows you are with me, What did she say when she saw it”
“She lied about it” before he ended the statement some men came to abduct Silas.
“That’s Kakamura boys, she’s stepping on my toes, the access I gave her to this villa is too much,” Pamela said pacing around.
Kakamura tied Silas inside her Shrine. “I’m not beautiful enough for your father, I’m a witch like he said, I will show him and his generation that I’m a witch” she hit him and left.
Silas sighted Favour’s cloth on one of the altars in the shrine “That’s the clothe Pamela took from Favour’s bag if I’m not mistaken”, he strived and picked it with his mouth. Immediately Favour regained her senses where she was.
Joyce had been taking action to get to the orphanage home they took Favour’s daughter to “I won’t tell Silas now, I want to make it a surprise” she grinned. she was directed to one orphanage home when her phone rang, the chief Nurse told her Favour is well. She ran back to the psychiatric home. “Is true” she said as she sighted favor getting her hair shaved. After she had enough rest and treatment, she asked after her daughter so they went to the orphanage home together
The caregiver told them Triumphant is dead, as a result of HIV/AIDS. Joyce did not argue, she remembered Silas told her he has HIV. She consoled Favour and advised she’s tested too. “Let’s go to my place, Silas is in Ghana, I will call him to travel down, I won’t be telling him you are with him, let’s surprise him” Favour smiled.
On their way to Joyce’s home, they saw a man surrounded by a crowd. They moved closer to glimpse, It was Silas lying dead on the floor, some parts of his body has been chopped off,
“Jesus!” Joyce exclaimed running to him, Favour sat down beside him and wept. She looked up and saw cosmos plaza “This was where we first met, my enemies have killed my husband, They made me a madwoman, they held me in captivity, they made me lose my daughter. God you will not sleep” she stripped herself n***d “Oh God to whom vengeance belongs, show yourself” she screamed.
