Motherhood ππ Part 3
I watched everyone leave the cemetery one after the other. The more they left, the more lonely I got.
Oh! I envied them greatly. They could go back to their loved ones. They could eat their favorite meals and watch their favorite shows. Oh! I never really knew the importance of these things until now.
When everyone had gone back to their respective homes, the grave became really lonely and cold.
It dawned on me that i was dead for real. I couldn’t leave the cemetery because my body was already trapped underneath the Earth forever.
“My babies! Oh Lord let me go see my babies for the last time”. I cried out loudly.
The pain was indescribable.

I opened my eyes and saw my husband seated by the side of the bed. He was holding onto my hands firmly.
“You are crying Honey. Are you having another nightmare?”. My husband asked as he gently wiped the tears from my eyes.
I stood up from the bed and went on my knees immediately. Without asking questions, my husband joined me.
“You are Yahweh eh eh… You are Yahweh. You are Yahweh, Alpha and Omegaaa… You are Yahweh, Alpha and Omega π΅πΆπΆπΆ”.
We broke into worship. I worshipped like never before. I cried like a baby while I worshipped my God. The creator of the Universe. The Alpha and the Omega. The God who is able to do all things. The God who formed me in my mother’s womb and the God who knew me before i was born.
“Daddy you said in your words that the affliction shall not arise for the second time. Daddy I know your words are true. My father my God, I know that whatever you reveal, You will surely redeem. This pregnancy..”
My husband I placed our both hands on my protruding stomach.
“I shall deliver safe and sound. Mother and babies would be discharged home in one piece. I shall not die. I shall live to declare your glory in the land of the living. In Jesus mighty name i have prayed”.
“Amen!”. My husband thundered.
“Honey, you will deliver safe and sound. You shall not die. No weapon fashioned against you shall prosper. Thank you for being so strong for us”. My husband said.
“Honey, the dream felt so real this time around . My enemy died. Gosh! Death is indeed a bad thing. I won’t allow fear grip me. The enemy can try but my God will reign supreme over them”. I said.
“That is the spirit”. My husband said hailing me.
I let out a loud laugh. “Go jor, trouble maker”.
“I don’t want you to do anything today my Queen. Just sit-down as your loyal servant serve you. So, what will you like for breakfast?”. My husband asked.
“I wish can be pregnant every year”.
We both burst out laughing.
“You know that’s a small job for me”. My husband started whining his waist to describe his abilities.
“Prostitute”. I said and we started laughing again.
“I want spicy jollof rice for breakfast. I said spicy ooo. Don’t cook nonsense”.
“Your wish is my command”. My husband said and dashed out of the room.
Immediately he left, my fears returned with full force. I was only acting strong so my husband wouldn’t be worried.
The truth is that, my grandma died while having my mother and my mother almost died while having me. You see, it is really a scary situation.
I will be due any moment from now. Since i started approaching my due date, i always have this scary dream. In the dream, i always end up dead.
Thank God for the gift of prayers. I always find strength whenever I pray.
After about an hour, my husband walked in with a tray of smokey jollof rice. He placed it on the dining.
“Your food is ready my queen”. He said.
I stood up and went to the dining. The food was indeed very spicy.
I was trying to clear the dining when my water broke.
I screamed really loud.
“What is the issue?”. My husband asked panicking.
“My water just broke”.
My husband rushed to where I was looking confused and clueless.
“Take me to the hospital”. I said.
“Ohh! I am sorry”. My husband said and assisted me to the car outside.
“Ohh the car keys. Let me go get the car keys”. My husband said.
I remembered my dream immediately. It felt like i was having a deja Vu.
I checked my hand and saw i was indeed holding the car keys.
Fear gripped me.
“Is my dream becoming my reality?”. I asked myself trembling.
