BLEEDING SACRIFICE

CHAPTER ONE

Elonga was in her early thirties and had just found out she was HIV positive. This sad news left her in a dilemma.
“Doctor Please! Can you run another test again?. Am sure there is an error somewhere.” She pleaded
“Am sorry my Dear. I personally conducted this test three times to make sure it was right.”
“No Doc! Please run the test again, there’s a mix up somewhere. I can’t… b” She grasped for air looking up, raising her head as if to ask God why me? “I can’t be HIV positive”. She insisted.

“No my Dear it’s positive. What I am going to advice you to do now is to register and start taking your drugs. Having HIV in this our era is not so much of an issue. There are people out there who have been living with it and they’re just find. Am sure you be alright.”

Elonga was still in denial when she left Doctor sam’s office. She decided she was going to try again in another hospital. The results came out positive again and she was so devastated.
It was already afternoon and she had to return back home. The sun’s raise had suddenly disappeared. It was more like it had read Elonga’s current misfortune. The weather had completely changed. The sun had now given way for rain. Elonga in her depression insisted on walking under the rain not minding the thunderstorm. As she persisted, people call out to he but her ears were too occupied by the rain drums. Her eyes were occupied by tears and rain water. A man was driving by and due to , the due and rain drops which had clouded the windscreen of the car, the driver crashed into Elonga. She was badly wounded and was rushed to the hospital by onlookers. Her family was later informed. Elonga had incured big wounds on her left tie and arm.

She was admitted in the hospital for six weeks yet, there was no change in her situation. The hospital bills kept on piling and despite the drugs they administered, nothing seems to have been working. Elonga’s siblings who had been chesting the bills suddenly got tired.
