Campus Fellowship episode 21

CAMPUS FELLOWSHIP ON FIRE
FINAL CHAPTER
(Ever Burning)
——————————-
The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out.”
Leviticus 6:13

It was after some minutes they remembered that Sister Deborah and Bro Rotimi still lay unconscious on the floor. As soon as President Gbile laid hands on them, and stood in agreement with other Exco, they regained consciousness.

The following week, President Gbile called for a twenty-one day fast coupled with a deliverance prayer session.

This was a spiritual exercise that he used to shy away from with the excuse of not wanting to cause the members of the fellowship any inconvenience. He declared it mandatory to all members to cleanse them from every toxic material that is not of God in their lives.

Then Deborah was made to go through a special twenty-one days fasting and deliverance prayers on the fellowship ground after the church had conducted theirs.

Bro Kenneth regained consciousness in the school clinic and was visited and prayed for by all Excos and many other members.

When the disciplinary committee heard of Kenneth’s miraculous recovery, they summoned Scholar Segun back to continue with his studies without having to complete his punishment.

Sister Linda turned Deborah went to the hospital to ask for his forgiveness.
When she got to his ward, she saw he was in perfect shape but noticed a small plaster at the back of his head. That small plaster brought back sad memories and she quickly developed cold feet and was too embarrassed to face him.

As she wanted to turn back, he saw her hanging by the door and called her. “Sister Linda, don’t run away now, I’ve seen you already.” He smiled. His smile eased her guilt a little as she made slow movements to his bed. When she finally got to him, he gave her a plastic chair to sit.

“Bro Kenneth, I’m so sorry for all the pains I put you through. You’re on this bed because of me.” She cried.

On seeing her outburst, he too became remorseful and he handed her a tissue from the table by the side of his bed.

“Here, stop crying Sister Linda, I’m the one at fault. I couldn’t agree I had a problem with womanizing even as a born again Christian. I jumped from sister to sister, dating them casually. I love to have body contact with only people of the opposite gender so I just wrap them up in tight and lingering hugs in the name of casual greetings. I came to you because you were like a complete package to me. I’m sorry for all the pain the baby Christian me put you through.” He said as he wiped off a tear.

“I have encountered Christ also. I was told about all what happened by the Exco. I believe everything happened for a reason and God let it. God bless you, Sister Linda, for coming into our lives, even though it was for a wrong reason at first.” He laughed at his own joke.

“Ah, the jovial part of Bro Kenneth will never die.” Deborah laughed. “Thank you for forgiving me sir. I’ll still come around to check on you again, and with the way God is working, you’ll be up and running in no time. God bless.” She rose up from the seat he offered her.

She made to leave but turned back like she forgot something.

“One last thing Bro Kenneth.”
“Yes, Sister Linda, I’m all ears.” He sat up again from his bed.

“My name is not Linda anymore, please call me Deborah”. She smiled and left the ward.

“Mummy? Daddy?” Deborah said slowly as a baby who was just trying out words for the first time. She had never in her life called anyone mother or father. She couldn’t contain her emotions and began to cry.

After a while, the fellowship collaborated in helping Sister Deborah locate her parents. Since it was a joint effort, her parents were located in few days and the family was reunited.

Her parents were aged but a well-to-do, respected couple in that area. After they had given birth to Deborah, their covenant child, they didn’t have any other children.

It was the second greatest day of Deborah’s life. The first greatest day being the day she got her deliverance from everything that connected her with her past evil life.

She continued to attend fellowship, and made sure she apologized to everyone she offended directly or indirectly. The day she gave her full testimony during a Sunday service, the Thanksgiving Sunday quickly grew into revival service. Lives were touched and souls were won. All those that were in one or more secret cults or fraternity on campus came out unashamedly to give their lives to Christ.

Those with secret sins confessed them to the world. This led to a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit that Sunday.

Deborah abandoned her old ways of dressing and dressed to conform to the image of Christ and to the glory of God. She and the Gen Sec, Sister Modupe became very close friends.

Around that period, Sister Christie apologized to Bro Fola for putting him on hold for over 6 months saying she will think about it. She accepted his proposal after confirming with God. One day as they talked scriptures, she made a joke about his dress sense and related it to scriptures.

“… So, you see Bro Fola, all these big big shirts and trousers ehnn, ko necesstri now. Start dressing like someone that is actually from this century and not the medieval times. I know you’re not used to it, but this a project I’ve taken upon myself. “The Rebranding Of Bro Fola”. She wrote in the air and they both laughed.

All through Deborah’s stay in the fellowship, she tried all she could to avoid one on one contact with Bro Moses. She felt he was the one she did much damage to which almost cost him his chastity.

She too hadn’t been in any sexual relationship with any human because of the soul tie she had with Haman. However, upon his death and after undergoing the 21day deliverance, every attachment with her former life was broken.

But then, shame wouldn’t let her apologize one on one to Bro Moses, up until he graduated and travelled out of the country.

It was three years after he had graduated and left the fellowship that he got the leading from God that Sister Deborah was to be his wife. By then, he calculated that she ought to have been in her final year.

He tried reaching her but he couldn’t because many of the members he knew had graduated also. He got a shocking but pleasant surprise the day an unknown number sent him an apology text message which said “from Sister Deborah.”
He jumped and bumped his fists in the air, thanking God for the confirmation.

As for the Campus fellowship, they grew in capacity, in the love and knowledge of Christ and also in fire of the Holy Ghost.

And we’re done! I’m so emotional right now🥺😭😭. Thank you for following through. This fire will burn for the rest of our days🔥🤲🏼 Thank you, I love you, and God bless you.
