Dear Anita episode 12

Dear Anita

Episode Twelve- Final Episode

When I moved to the hotel, I didn’t say anything to Barrister Nathan because I didn’t want to say anything mean about his mom.

He has been a great help to me.

While I was in the hotel, he called me and asked why we just decided to move out without telling him.

I didn’t know what to say.

“Is it that my house isn’t convenient for you?”

he asked. I could feel the fear in his voice.

I just assured him that his house was okay and that I just needed to move out.

Meanwhile, his mom hadn’t told him anything either.

If only he knew what she did. Days passed, and I still found comfort in the Bible.

After all, it was the only thing that could set me free.

I knew people had condemned me, but God didn’t.

The day of my second hearing arrived, and this time the police didn’t come to pick me up from the house.

I got up and prepared to face the court, carrying my weapon (the Bible) for comfort.

I also prepared Liam for the day, and we got down on our knees to pray.

We prayed for a long time, and then I realized I was running late.

We had to rush to the court!

When we got to the court, the judge wasn’t there yet.

We had to wait for him to arrive before we could proceed. We waited for a while, but he still didn’t show up.

People started murmuring and asking if the judge had forgotten he had a case.

And when he finally arrived, all he said was, “Let her go.”

He turned to me and said, “You are free.”

I had to look behind me to make sure he was referring to me because it was shocking and the quickest case I had ever seen!

Barrister Nathan and the other lawyer bowed their heads, and the court dismissed for the day.

He and Liam rushed to where I was standing still, and they hugged me.

“You have a second chance at life, Anita.

You are now free,” Barrister Nathan said.

Those women who were eagerly waiting for my prosecution started complaining that I bribed the judge.

I don’t blame them either. If I were in their shoes, I would probably say the same thing.

Mr. Nathan offered us a ride to the hotel.

As we entered the car, he said, “Anita, I heard what my mother did to you, and I’m really sorry.”

I interrupted him by expressing my gratitude for allowing God to use him to set me free.

I didn’t know how to thank him because if he hadn’t offered to help me,

I would have been stuck in that cell and might have ended up rotting there.

He dropped us off at the hotel while he drove back home. That day, Liam and I prayed ourselves to sleep.

The next morning, we heard a knock on our hotel room.

I asked Liam to open it, and it was Barrister Nathan.

We welcomed him in, and he opened his hands, revealing a key.

“How would you feel if I told you that you are now the owner of a duplex?” I screamed in disbelief as he handed over the key to me.

I quickly got dressed, and he took us on a tour of the house.

It was absolutely breathtaking. I couldn’t help but go down on my knees to express my gratitude.

It was overwhelming to think that Liam and I would have our own home, where we wouldn’t be disturbed or thrown out by anyone.

His mother apologized to us, and we had already forgiven her.

After a few months, Barrister Nathan asked us to go out for lunch.

I brought Liam along, and it was a complete surprise when he proposed to me.

I was filled with happiness and excitement, and of course, I accepted his proposal.

We started planning our marriage and I couldn’t believe how everything had fallen into place.

We got married in his church, and then we moved in together.

Liam stayed with us, and I made sure he went to one of the best schools.

He absolutely loved it there!

Everything felt so perfect, and I was filled with happiness, knowing that God had given me a second chance at life.

Life is full of ups and downs, but one thing we can always count on is that God never abandons His children.
